Albergo Garisenda is much better than it's two stars represent, as it is a gem, perfectly located in the centre of Bologna. The rooms are lovely and clean, with excellent air conditioning. We have recommended this hotel to our friends and family. It is our recommendation to you. The staff and owners are also excellent, as they were able to recommend certain places to see which were a little different from the standard text of guide books.

Location is perfect, in the center of town and the view from the balcony is worth everything. The room was clean and perfectly met my expectations. I was offered a morning coffee and a croissant which saved my day :) Friendly and helpful hosts. Definitely I will return.

I liked everything.

The hotel's location was ideal. I chose to visit Bologna as part of my Interrail tour of Europe specifically to see the famous two towers, and the hotel was right next to them. I could see them from the window of my room. The terrace had an even better view of them. My room was large and my bed was comfortable and, as it was very hot when I stayed, the air conditioning was very welcome and effective. The shower was powerful too. The managers were both extremely helpful - providing me with a plug adaptor for my British plug and printing railway tickets and letting me have bottles of cold water. Also advising me what to see in Bologna during my stay.

The mattress on my bed was too hard for my liking, however it was brand new and the room was lovely. I told them it was too hard for me and when I came back that afternoon they had added a mattress topper which definitely helped.

Amazing location just 5 minutes from Piazza Majore. Elevator to the 3rd floor. The owners were so friendly and helpful. They gave us info , maps , suggestions on what to see and where to eat . Those people are rightfully proud of their hotel. The terrace with the view to the two towers is breathtaking. The room was beautiful. The mattress perfect and the bed sheets crispy clean . They also offered us complimentary breakfast on the terrace. The decorations were beautiful vintage.

We had a very simple room with a washbasin and a shared bathroom outside in the corridor. Everything clean and nice. The place is pretty and well maintained in general, just our room was a bit drab, but it was the last one available and not too expensive. The place is very conveniently placed in the historical centre. The most important thing is the super nice and firiendly staff, ready to help with everything <3 We felt like family. There's a nice terrace with a view on the towers, to have a small breakfast offered at the place. We would love to visit again!

I stay only for one day. Nothing that I didn't like during my stay.

I went alone and I liked my single room because it was spacious. The owner is really nice and the price for city center was really good. Next time I am going to Bologna I will book here again, hoping that the price is good again.

We got an out-of-date room, even though they had refurbished ones. The noise from the street lasted until 5 a.m. New double-window glasses can block this.

First, I would like to thank the property owners for their kind hospitality. They offered us coffee and a light breakfast on the wonderful terrace, even though we had not paid for that. The location is perfect, right in the center of Bolo.

Perfect location, near the towers and Plaza Maggiore. Clean, comfortable room! Bathroom was updated and clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. They have a cute terrace to sit on to have coffee. They also keep your luggage, no questions asked, even after checkout. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
