Claudio and the staff were so lovely, friendly and welcoming. They could not have been more helpful and Claudio went beyond to help us; recommending restaurants, giving us directions, making us laugh and feel very at home. We went to Inpasta where we had wonderful food. Claudio even gave us a lift to the station .Unique ,delightful rooms with wonderful views . Thank you SOOOO much. Love from the mad sisters Anne Louise and Sarah. We will definitely be back ( and bring our daughters) if you can put up with us again! So much to see; our stay was not long enough.

I had a fantastic stay at this charming and historic hotel. The building itself is full of character and perfectly located right in the heart of the old city, making it easy to explore everything on foot. The host, Claudio was incredibly warm and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious with a great variety, and overall, the stay was excellent value for money. Highly recommended!

A bit hard to find and not easy to access with luggage - noisy street at night but can’t help that when you are staying in centre of old city

The location is centrally located in the city center. Walk from the station is less than 10 minutes. Rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and a nice breakfast is available.

We highly recommend this place! It’s located right in the heart of Lucca’s historic center, with amazing views from the rooms. On top of that, the owner is incredibly kind—he prepares breakfast himself and is always happy to help with anything you might want to know or do in Lucca. We were very satisfied with our stay!

The owner isn’t always at the property, but is very kind and let us enter the room early. Location is very convenient, right in the center. We left our car in the parking lot by the train station, and the walk is less than 10 minutes The room had a/c so it was great to refresh during summer days

The hotel is outdated but overall ok for short stays, the main problem was the shower, it was really small and the door didn’t cover all the area so it was a challenge to shower without making a mess. If you have a light sleep, avoid a street side room on the weekend.

    There was a elevator

The bathroom had a panel which one could see through into the bathroom from the corridor... no privacy

The location, The gentleman who owns the facility and lives there very helpful and nice. Great breakfast!

The floors, could use a little maintenance for the locks of the rooms, if they do not clise well they leave you trapped in the rooms.

Place full of character in brilliant location inside the walls of historic Lucca. Decent breakfast too.

Mind your head on the beams in the attic rooms.

We really enjoyed our stay at Al Tuscany - mostly due to the excellent service and friendliness of our host Claudio. We made a very late, last minute booking and he was immediately in contact via Whatsapp with instructions. He further helped with bike rentals and excellent restaurant recommendations. We decided to stay an extra night! Great location for access to all touristy things in Lucca. The suite was a great choice for our family with a large bed for the adults and the kids shared a double bed. Claudio very kindly brought me some gluten free muffins after I had stated on the booking form I would prefer a gluten free option for breakfast if possible. Highly recommend.

We found we couldn't open the main door from the street with the key provided but we could call to be let inside the building.

Very good location and price. Very friendly staff. Also have a chance to pet little cat in the building.

The location was great, but we were never told about not driving within the city walls, it's for residents only. So we are expecting a fine in the mail any time. Ask the host to help us get out of the city walls, but he simply drew on a little map with no street names, he refused to come down with us to help us get back to the other side, It took us about 3 hours to ask people how to get out. It was a nightmare. Also, other guests were at the B&B and you could hear everything as if they were in the room. The door of the room was just a frosted glass. The place does not look like the pictures, we were disappointed. We did not even bother with breakfast.

It's located in a very convenient street, a short walk from the Duomo and Puccini's Casa-Museo. I loved the breakfast room with its frescos and the general ambiance. It felt like living a beautiful past and it helped me feel inside the fable of Giacomo Puccini's genious.

Being in the centre means that, at night, specially Saturday, there were noises outside from people enjoying nightlife.

We stayed in a room just under the roof, and it was really small. I couldn’t even stand on one side of the bed. Additionally, the blind on the tiny window didn’t block out much light.

The old house, Claudio's hospitality, the charm of the Old Town, the gastronomy, restaurants and pedalling round the old walls and the breakfast was prepared according to needs round one big table.

The rain was torrential on one day, rained on and off the next.

The place was amazing. Furnishing complemented the beautiful town of lucca and made us both feel at home. Right in the centre of everything. Staff were very helpful. Check in was easy.

    Mattress may need changing .

The light and fan coming on in the bathroom! Annoying in the middle of the night.
