Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

DenmarkThe stay at the hotel left a pleasant impression! The breakfast is delicious, nothing superfluous, everything was enough. Every morning you are offered a menu for the evening for an additional fee, 35 euros per person, which includes a choice of salad, soup, local dishes and dessert. The food was delicious and at the same time simple. It is very convenient that you do not need to look for where to have dinner after an active day. We had a very good rest in the spa area with a wonderful view. The sauna is open from 13.00 to 19.00. There is a bathrobe and slippers in the room, you can take towels directly from the sauna itself. Special thanks to the wonderful employee named Estera, who made our vacation even better!

United KingdomI don’t think it’s worth to buy a dinner here, not worth it and it’s quite pricey.
Hotel is in a stunning location, clean and staff was really nice.

RomaniaThe only thing that I didn't like was the narrow and winding road to the property but you can have that view to the mountain only if you drive high in the mountains.
We liked the view, the hot tub, the big room and the staff. Also, the fact that you had the possibility to order omlette at the breakfast and you could squeeze fruits to drink natural juices. 2 times we had dinner at the restaurant and it was delicious.

Great hotel in a fantastic location. Close to many key places makes this place an ideal location. The personnel are so caring, friendly and helpful. The food at breakfast, afternoon breaks and dinner was very good. The swimming pool is a treat. Overall, a fantastic experience. I hope to go back there in the future.

GermanyWe were charged €400 per night for 3 adults with breakfast which I think it is on the expensive side in the low season. The furnishing in the living and bedroom is rather basic for the price. I feel that the living could be bigger - at least with space for another sofa. The drive up the hill to the property was challenging.
We really like the chalet number 4 which appears to be a newer building and has the newer outdoor firewood bath tub. The furnishing is modern especially the bathroom and toilet. The front manager and breakfast staff were superb in their service and were really kind to let our companion have a late checkout. We enjoyed the farm-to-table breakfast, fresh fruits and salad every monring. The best thing is the wonderful views from our chalet - a great experience to wake up to every day! We also love all the animals - cows, goats and chicken they have in the farm.

LatviaWhile the hotel has its charms, there's significant room for improvement in several key areas to elevate the guest experience. The lack of air conditioning in the room made for an extremely hot and uncomfortable night, significantly impacting sleep. Opening the windows offered no relief from the heat, and instead introduced a new disturbance: the early morning "singing" of birds, which, due to their proximity on the balcony, sounded more like screaming. Even a simple fan in the room would make a world of difference. Furthermore, the absence of a mosquito net on the window is concerning, leaving guests feeling vulnerable to insects and detracting from a sense of comfort and safety. The pool was heavily overgrown with algae and appeared to lack any chlorine or regular cleaning. This created an uninviting environment, compounded by the presence of numerous bees and other bugs, which could be particularly problematic for guests with phobias. In our opinion, the dinner was overpriced at 35 euros per person plus drinks, and simply didn't justify the cost for our taste. The hotel's WiFi got turned off after 11 PM and only re-enabled in the morning, which can be frustrating for guests who need evening access.
This hotel offers an ideal setting for complete relaxation. Its nice, quiet atmosphere makes it perfect for a peaceful escape. Our room was spacious, and we particularly enjoyed the design of both the room and the hotel. A highlight was the beautiful mountain view, and the bed was comfortable. The large, lovely balcony was an added bonus. Breakfast was tasty, and while not overly extensive, we easily found plenty to eat. We appreciated that this is a bio hotel, with many of the fresh ingredients produced directly by the hotel owners. It was charming to see the chickens and a few goats on the premises, reinforcing the commitment to local, fresh food. The hotel staff were consistently nice and friendly, adding to the overall pleasant experience.

GermanyUnfortunately there was no dinner available (only during winter time), also not á la carte. Difficult to find alternatives in the evening. Better double check if there is dinner available via mail before you rely on that service. Unfortunately this was not communicated in beforehand, not via Booking.com and also not via Pennhof Website which stated that there will be dinner. No problem though if you double check beforehand. Sauna - beautiful and cozy - is also only opened from 13:30-19:00 which is quite short of you want to spend your day there. Rooms was clean overall with some exceptions ;) If you have noisy neighbours you‘ll definitely hear them all night. Lovely place with lovely stuff with beautiful views but I’d highly question the value for money
Very friendly stuff, beautiful view and the wellness area (Sauna) is also great. Good to relax far away from tourist attractions. If you do not have problems with serpentine streets you will reach great spots to visit (Val Gardena Skiing, Bozen, Meran…) in no Time.
