Don’t trust what you see on the pictures - it’s 100x better! The best part is when you realise you’re heading towards that house on the hill while you jokingly say “imagine it’s that house over there”. Well don’t imagine - it is that one! 😍 Perfectly maintained garden. Very nice kitchen, loved its style and the huge island, huge bed, the jacuzzi in the room and the view from there… 😍 There is a library of books available for you to read while enjoying the serene views as well as a selection of the family’s own wine, olive oil and pasta (ofc at an extra but affordable cost). If you read one bad comment about this property, you must know that that person looks for needle in a haystack.

I am racking my brain, trying to come up with some helpful suggestion for this property but I’m having a difficult time. I have to come up with something so here goes: the assigned parking spaces could be a little wider (we had a medium size SUV).

This agriturismo set up on top of a Hili (Poggio) a phenomenal view of the surrounding valleys. Entrance to the property is past a traditional working Tuscan farm and along a line of iconic cypress trees. The property is immaculate and wonderfully landscaped mingling in aesthetic elements that give way to the surrounding olive groves and Vineyard. The apartments are spacious and wonderfully appointed, with comfortable beds, kitchenette, and living area. The facility was fully occupied during our stay, but it was incredibly peaceful and quiet. We did not hear our neighbor neighbors, and hopefully they did not hear us! The property also has a wonderful swimming pool and plenty of deck chairs to relax in the afternoon and early evening. We had a few preconceived notions of the Tuscan countryside prior to this trip, but our experience at this agriturismo we’re well above expectations. We would hardly recommend this property and are already discussing when we can return! The hostess Titiana, was welcoming an incredibly helpful, providing useful suggestions and recommendations to make our stay and travels around the neighboring countryside that much more special. This very hard-working woman not only ran her farm, but also personally attended to us guests on the property. Each morning her and her assistant put on a wonderful breakfast. Fresh jams, fruits, bakery items made to order eggs, tea, coffees, and more. The weather, fully cooperated and allowed us to enjoy our breakfast outside with incredible views! We could not imagine a better experience for a first time in Tuscany.

We liked everything about the property itself. The road towards the villa was really tricky. We arrived quite late to the property, since the road was very difficult to navigate, plus pouring rain conditions. I think for an inexperienced driver,it is quite a challenge to drive down such serpentine roads, especially on the roads that has no lighting. Was unexpected, but we managed to arrive safely. Also they were very kind to check-in so late.

The place was absolutely gorgeous, we enjoyed every morning the stunning view from our spacious apartment. It is exactly the experience you are looking for while in Tuscan area. Very cosy and charming, felt very welcomed and cared.

From the first moment you enter the estate you immediately understand one thing. It is an authentic old family farm house overseeing the land that the same people passionately work on. The same passion has been now translated into honest hospitality from Its hostess, Tiziana, who takes care of practically anything from a to z. Great rooms filled with stylish rustic furniture and artifacts that have its own story to tell. Magnificent panoramic view of the Val d’ orcia in close vincinity to unique medieval villages that you can visit after a rich breakfast with local delicacies. All in all simplicity and tuscanic purity in its finest form!! .

I came here with my partner and my parents for 5 days and we had the most magical and relaxing time at this dreamy and idyllic place! The location is truly breathtaking with stunning views:) The breakfast was made with lots of fresh ingredients, very delicious! The host was so lovely and helpful. We loved the appartement with 3 bedrooms which is big, well equipped and decorated, comfortable and the view from the balcony is gorgeous. The swimming pool is perfect with a great view on the hills and village. Good possibilities of walking and biking around. The host was super nice. We loved the place !

We fell in love with this place immediately when we arrive. The location is perfect, close to all the places we wanted to visit. We booked the big apartment on the 1st floor, and we can enjoy the breathtaking view from all directions and all the windows, even in the bathroom. We will come back!

The most perfect stay in an unbeatable location. Poggio Istiano is pure perfection. The superior apartment was beautifully designed, and had everything we needed. The wines and olive oil produced by the estate and available to buy were delicious. The long drive up through the avenue of cypruses with the castles of Castligliano d'Orcia rising above and beyond as you arrive is Tuscany at its absolute best. We spent five blissful days here on honeymoon, relaxing by the pool and then pottering around hill towns in search of good wine and good food. Tiziana is a wonderful host, so welcoming and so passionate about the estate. Fantastic breakfast of delicious homemade and local produce. The pool is idyllic and with a stunning 360 panoramic view. Simply perfection.

Absolutely nothing.

We loved everything about our stay here. The home and garden are beautiful, our room was lovely and clean and the pool is pristine. Tiziana the host is a dream. She is so kind and helpful and has such great recommendations. The breakfast was bountiful and fresh. I didn’t want to leave after two nights and regretted not staying at least one more. We highly recommend and would stay again.

Everything was PERFECT!
