Tiny fridge that just holds a few cans so we weren’t able to put any food there. Also we got a bottle of wine but there wasn’t a corkscrew which was very frustrating. But those are just minor niggles.

Lovely little hotel, very good breakfast and great staff. It’s only a place to stay as a base for your exploring. Not much to do otherwise and no food available after breakfast. Swimming pool was lovely and we enjoyed our stay.

It would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities either in our room or available in the communal lounge area. Our bedroom was on raised mezzanine floor and even with the air con was extremely hot, but I think this problem was being addressed and Italy was experiencing a heatwave at the time.

Gorgeous authentic Tuscan property with amazing views & swimming pool just as depicted, set in a peaceful location perfect for exploring the region and all the places we wanted to visit. Giovanni was very helpful with suggestions for restaurants and cycling routes.

No onsite restaurant or other means to get food & drink, other than wine (starting at €28 a bottle) and a very basic mini bar. A suggestion would be a well stocked fridge with beer, white wine, water and soft drinks on an “honesty” basis.

Our stay was absolutely delightful! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Giovanni or Marta -who are incredibly kind and attentive hosts. It’s clear that they love what they do and respect their work. They were always available to help with anything we needed. The rooms were spotless, well-equipped with everything you need, including towels and robes for both the indoor and outdoor pools. Although we visited in mid-May and the room was slightly cool, it wasn’t an issue—there was a warm comforter provided and air conditioning with a heating function, which worked perfectly. One of the highlights of our stay was the wine tasting experience with either Giovanni or Marta at Castell’in Villa—it’s an absolute must! The tasting was not only enjoyable but also rich in history and local charm. Sincerely, i was so lucky that i found this accommodation. The surroundings are peaceful, with breathtaking views that truly capture the beauty of Tuscany. It’s also worth mentioning that the accommodation is pet-friendly, and the breakfast was delicious, just the right amount to start the day well. In terms of location, it’s about a 30-minute drive from Siena, approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes from Pisa Airport, and around 2 hours from Florence. The roads are excellent, and the scenic drives make traveling a pleasure. We would love to return one day—it was a truly memorable experience.

Our 3-day stay in La Gazzara was amazing! The place was perfectly located—right in the heart of all the spots we wanted to visit, which made getting around super convenient. We loved how easy it was to explore the region. Giovanni was wonderful - was friendly and helpful and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tuscany! 😀

Hot tub wasn't quite full & not working correctly. We couldn't get the sauna to work either, although maybe operator error.

Great, central location to see Tuscany sights! With only 2 full days we were able to venture to Val d'Orcia, Pienza, and Siena. The Villa was quiet & comfortable with views overlooking miles & miles of vineyards. While we shared The Villa grounds with other couples, it felt secluded & private. Great breakfast as well!

Really nice place. In the countryside. We loved everything. Sweet and helpful staff. Lovely pool - in and outside. Perfect view - you can see Siena from the House. They have a very nice restaurant, not far from the property. And you can book wine tasting at Castell’in Villa. There is no big groups - just you👌🏼 Very exclusive.

A/C did not work well. Shower flooded the bathroom Took till late afternoon of 2nd day to get a fan that was promised to us. No restaurant on site

Our room was next to the kitchen so it got a little loud when they started preparing for breakfast. We also had some issues finding the place and ended up in a wrong spot. I wish they would have better location instructions/address on the website.

They made the best chocolate croissant I’ve ever had. Location was beautiful and convenient but you need a car. The views are amazing, especially eating breakfast outside. Pool was very nice as well.
