Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicWarm, welcoming atmosphere, quiet, clean rooms, big comfortable bed, delicious sweet and savory breakfast with eggs, homemade jams, cakes and their own production of honey. We really appreciated a possibility of late checkin - apparently until 10pm is absolutely no problem with them.

SwitzerlandThe hotel sent us a map with directions to a less adventurous road from Gravedona to their premises than what the navigation system proposed, which was very useful. Beautiful and quiet location and nature. Perfect for hiking. its on a mountain, so steep paths and streets are to be expected and great for healthy walks! They have a very nice sauna and jacuzzi which makes it a total luxury mixed with the simplicity of farming/forrest Iife. Very unique. Hotel and staff are very dog friendly and let us bring our dog. The 2 resident dogs are friendly and calm, the cats and donkeys on the premises adorable. The room, food and sauna are very good and prices totally reasonable, price value can't be better. Only thing missing in our room was a fridge, yet the staff was very accommodating and allowed us to keep a tupperware in the fridge in the restaurant. We got great recommendations at the reception for hiking routes and places to swim. We are happy to have come across this hotel during our last minute booking efforts. Many thanks for the gifted home made honey and for making our stay so memorable!

United KingdomCheckin times are from 3.30 to 6.30. They dont encourage late checkins, but will accomodate if requested in advance.
Great host, awesome location, large clean rooms, and the best breakfast we have ever had in europe. The location is just awesome, high up in the mountains, but still less than 30 mins aways from lake Como. The host was really helpful, welcoming and took good care of us even though we did a really late checkin. Ps : if you love cats, be prepared for the army of cats around the main restaurent. Dont worry, they dont come into the restaurent. Loved the cats.

GermanyThe road to drive to this place is not the best and the last part of it to get the agriturismus parking was really strong uphill.
The place, food, staff, the surrounding nature were great.

SwitzerlandA bit of an adventure driving to the property, but worth the short trip out of the way and a true pleasure once you arrive.
Relaxing stay, peaceful and great staff. Enjoyed our dinner and breakfast very much. Loved the local mountain water and the self produced items out of the garden.

United StatesUnique place to stay if you are looking to be in quiet and fresh atmosphere… Then drive can be scary if you are not used to go by steep, narrow and curvy roads. But once there, you are fine!

LatviaIt is not possible to reach the accommodation with just any car — you will have to park "one level below," which means quite a steep climb up the stairs with all your luggage. The rooms did not have basic amenities like glasses, a trash bin, a kettle, or other essentials. Basically, it is only suitable for sleeping and showering.
A beautiful view from the very top of the mountain. A true countryside feeling with all the animals around. There was an option to have dinner at the restaurant and the breakfast was very good. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

SwitzerlandOverall, the room was nice and the view was amazing, but there were too many ants on the floor.
The property was in a very lovely and peaceful location. The lady working at the restaurant was very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and delicious, and the starter plate made with local products was outstanding.

HungaryIt's an "Agroturismo" place, but the only local products were the chestnut, chestnut honey (which is amazing), and maybe the eggs. It would be great to have fresh dary product and fruits/vegetables from local farmers. We've missed fresh vegetables at breakfast, but we were there in november.
Location was amazing: silent, calm, mountain environment with great view. It is hard to see Lake Como from here, but there are plenty of beautiful mountains around. Breakfast was good: we had lot of options like cheese, ham, scrambled eggs, butter, jams, local chestnut honey, fruits, etc. Staff was kind, helpful, flexible, attentive, and they speak english well. The houses are in a chestnut forest.

GermanyWhat a place! Very beautiful location... Adventurous drive up the mountain and at almost the very end a steep climb up the driveway to la fonte di mariella - hosted by Dario and his friendly dog we spent a beautiful day hiking through the chestnut forest before making use of the sauna and hot tub. Beer on the patio while observing the cats and donkeys. And then a wonderful dinner, we tried many dishes made up of local products and greatly prepared by a single gentleman running the kitchen. Good night's sleep and a wonderful breakfast. Perfect place if you want to get away from the hectic life and spend some days in a beautiful place. Cannot recommend enough! It was a treat - Grazie Mille

Czech RepublicThe last parts of arrival route are quite difficult (many sharp curves), but it is manageable even for touring motorcycles (slightly more difficult for ladies if they have heavier bikes).
Location was very nice and the owners' approach was perfect. During the breakfast, do not be shy and ask for example for eggs if you like. And do not forget to try their croissant - the best I ever had :)

Finland+++ Comfy retreat from the city. Hammock and all. +++ Breakfast, staff Of course there are animals and some critters in the "farmland" type of ecosystem where the inn is. Maybe a little chilly in the night. Drive is actually NOT bad with sedan type of car as long as there is not much incoming traffic. Refrigerator/water kettle in the room would be nice add-on.

United KingdomWe stayed at a house at the bottom of the hill and the more distance from the goats house the better. But we could see it had been shielded and everything was sparkling clean.
Dario, partner and the rest of the staff are fantastic, very attentive and genuinely kind, knowledgeable about local attractions and walks. The facilities are being very well kept, good rooms and various parking area. The restaurant was excellent for dinner, open every evening, we ate there several times, lots of freshly prepared food, local ingredients including various game and others. The menu had 6 or more specials and was gradually changing. The house wine including prosecco and other drinks were great. Everything was very reasonably priced. Breakfast had a lot of choice, machines for coffees, teas, cooked eggs, cereals, various breads, pastries, cakes, fruit, yogurts. The eating area was very well decorated and pleasant. The winding road access up the mountain was better than we expected, the road is kept in very good shape.

SwitzerlandI only took off some points because of the narrow, steep access road, and the steep "climb" from the lower guesthouse to the main building/restaurant. I am a hiker, but for some people, it can be a bit difficult, and I believe guests should be notified beforehand.
The peaceful, pretty location, the quality of the food.
