Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenThe beds weren't the comfiest, but ok for just one night (or a few, I'm sure!). Not the quickest response through the booking.com chat, but it didn't cause any problems.
Loved the location, attached to a vineyard. Loved the pool! Loved the restaurant! They had a private event but very kindly laid a table for us outdoors and the sweetest staff served us, bringing out tasty food - and delicious wine from their own vineyard! (Also very good value for the food!) The apartment was very spacious and clean. Great value for your money, especially as you could have slept another three people in the flat.

NetherlandsWe arrived a bit early and our host was not at the property yet. the woman who showed us our rooms was not really welcoming…the first thing she said was: who are you ? A bit grumpy? But this could be the language barrier …😬 When our host arrived she was very charming and offered us a nice drink at the pool. We had a delicious Tuscan dinner that evening.
Good location on our way to the ferry to go to Sardinia. Nice pool and quiet area with olive trees and wine yards.

NetherlandsIf I had to mention something is the language barrier that is something you face all over Italy. But I also have to admit that people were trying their best to understand and serve us
Very quiet and peaceful. Felt like you had invited few friends to your holiday house, due to peace and quiet that existed! Whatever we asked for (either extra towels or coffee or olive oil ) were provided.

PolandThe owner intentionally omitted information about organizing events until midnight in the garden. During our stay They organized somebody’s 18th birthday in the garden. The music was very loud, the speakers and the DJ was in front of our House/apartment. We couldn’t sleep. We planned to stay there for a week but we left after 3 nights. They explained that the events can be organized in the Argroturismo Gli Archi without informing the guests. They apologised us for the party and and offered different solutions as a compensation, but we didn’t agree. We contacted Booking and got our money back, we didn’t want to stay there. It has nothing to do with peace and quiet offering on the website.
The location was very nice, the swimming pool was almost only for us, many animals to see for kids

FinlandDampness, propably mold due to bad maintenance as black silicon in the bathroom suggests and the fact we all felt it (caughing and tingling in our throats the minute we arrived), made us eventually leave a day early. AC was totalled to an unfixable state so they provided a loud but inefficient moveable one. Lacking basic amenities like a trash can or even a soap. They also host parties, blasting music until midnight right behind your window which we learned can happen every other night. So much for the peace and serenity of a remote wine-yard accomondation. Given the condition and the fact that the place hosts loud events, at 150€/night without breakfast seems greedy as there are better options (we know, we switched from and to one in Tuscany). It's a shame really, facilities could have potential and great recommendations brought us there and we gave it chance, but couldn't sleep 3 out of 4 nights so left for the last one, a day early. Comments of the others hints about issues like this but curiously still render a picture of quality, that's a first. Choose wisely.
Idyllic scenery, remote location. Friendly employees trying to make up what the place is lacking even without knowing any English

United KingdomThe Gli Archi farm is located in the rolling hills of Poggio alla Farnia on the outskirts of Fauglia and only a short drive from Pisa. So perfect for visiting the leaning tower of Pisa. This stunning farm is surrounded by nature and boasts stunning views of the Pisan Hills. They produce 6 varieties of wine and olive oil, and the courtyards are lined with lemon trees. Their wine tastings are very popular and set in the restaurant with stunning views over the mountain range. These tastings are also open for non-guests, and I highly recommend them. We were told that there would be ‘a little bit of food’. In Italy, this means a full-blown meal! My favourite wines were the Viognier, Sangiovese and the vermouth. Fauglia is a village of medieval origins that has preserved the characteristics of a rural town. Following the destruction of the castle, which took place in 1433 at the hands of the Florentine army, the town was structured along the crest of the hill. Fauglia is known for its villas, and it is not a surprise that the Italian nobility, writers and artists loved to settle down here with the stunning views over the Pisan hills. If you are looking for a short or longer break in the area of Pisa, then I recommend staying here. It is a beautiful place and a stone’s throw away from Pisa, Livorno and Lucca, and Florence is merely an hour’s drive away. Pisa has a good train connection to Florence, so you can sit back and relax. If you don’t fancy cooking every night, the restaurant opposite the church in Fauglia comes highly recommended.
