Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesHonestly the most magical place. The photos don’t do it justice, you just have to experience it— completely immersed in nature, each apartment is secluded with a private pool, but just a short walk through the orange farm to the main pool and greenhouse. The hospitality and care that goes into everything is beyond. Vincenzo is such an amazing, thoughtful host, his partner is a delight and makes the most delicious food. Breakfast and dinner in the greenhouse are unforgettable. There are only a few apartments so it’s very serene. It’s a truly elevated experience but also feels super close to nature. Our 2 year old loved it—the pools (the main pool has a wide, shallow section and the private pool was perfect size), the food, the space and also the kittens :) It’s also extremely well placed to explore the towns nearby in all directions. Will definitely stay again.

United KingdomThe stay at AgriBarocco was fantastic. From before checking in to the last day, Vincenzo, Vanessa and all the staff made sure we had the best experience possible. It almost felt like being home with an extended family. Breakfasts are a whole experience of flavours and smells, and everything is as tasty as it’s healthy. Most produce comes from either inside the farm or very near. The structure is clean, well kept, quiet but at the same time really easy to reach, and convenient as a base to see the beautiful south east of Sicily. In short - you’re very likely to leave thinking that one day you’ll be back to experience the warm hospitality, comfortable surroundings and great vibes again. Thanks folks for making our stay special.

BulgariaThis place can't truly be described—it needs to be felt and experienced. If you enjoy sleeping close to nature and savoring delicious homemade organic food, this is the perfect spot. Vincenzo is a fantastic host who makes you feel completely at home. The location is also very convenient for exploring Syracuse, Noto, Marzamemi, Modica, and Ragusa.

BelgiumSmall detail: when it is cold (like when we were there), the hot water in the boiler runs out fairly quickly, but that doesn't bother you if you don't have to wash your hair three times in a row. And given the rest of the stay, this is only a very minor minus....
The owners are the kindest and sweetest people ever. They try incredibly hard to please their guests. We had dinner and breakfast there (in the greenhouse, truly an idyllic setting) and this was a fantasic experience; Sicilian cuisine is already so great but Vanessa manages to take it to star level. Also very nice: the cottages are in the middle of an orchard and the scent is amazing. The rooms are small but very clean and cosy. Especially recommended for couples....

This is the first time we have ever stayed in a non self catering location where we want to return specifically because of the place and in particular the staff. It felt like we were staying with friends. It really is as simples as that! Their ethos was perfect.

GermanyWe are so sad to be leaving after our 4 day stay at AgriBarocco. Vincenzo (and everyone else on site) was so welcoming and warm, we felt like we were right at home as soon as we arrived. Super easy process with everything. Vincenzo takes pride in AgriBarocco which can be seen in the attention given to even the slightest details to make your stay as comfortable and seamless as possible. The property is stunning and the private pools with each room make it feel like you are staying in your own oasis. We highly recommend the breakfast and having dinner if you have the chance - the food was some of the best we had throughout Sicily and you can tell everything is prepared with so much love and care (not to mention is locally sourced, which gives you such a one-of-a-kind culinary experience of the region!), you feel like you are one of the family when you are staying here.

PolandOur stay at Agribarocco in September was absolutely exceptional! 🌿 The location, nestled among a beautiful grove full of orange trees, was perfect for relaxation and escaping the everyday routine. The hosts were incredibly hospitable and always ready to help, making us feel right at home. 🏡 This is one of the most beautiful places we've ever been to. The cottage was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated, with every detail thoughtfully considered. The small outdoor jacuzzi provided pleasant moments during the heat. The breakfasts were delicious, with local products that added an authentic Italian flavor to our stay. 🧀🍅 This place is an excellent base for exploring nearby attractions, while also offering peace and tranquility when you're looking for a moment of rest. We will definitely return here on our next visit to Sicily!

The experience we had at Agribaracco was by far the best we had during our two-week roadtrip through Sicily. The warmest welcome, the most delicious breakfast and the most helpful hosts. All of that, in an amazing location (max. a 30 minute ride to most of the must-do’s in the area such as Syracuse, Marzamemi, Noto, Modica…), spacious and private rooms and an amazing atmosphere. If we ever visit Sicily again, Agribarocco will surely be on the itinerary once more!

United KingdomNothing. I feel terrible as I can't offer any advice on how to make AgriBarocco better, and constructive criticism is something Vincenzo asked for at the end of our stay. Honestly, I would just use this space to continue my praise of this accommodation and it's amazing hosts but I think at this point you should book and make your own mind up for yourself.
You would find no better place to stay than AgriBarocco. I have never visited any location that expresses as much passion into what they do than AgriBarocco, this is reflective in the service you will recieve. I can confidently say that the food at AgriBarocco was the best food we had in Sicily. This applies to both the breakfasts and the dinners. Not only is the food itself fresh, delicious, and well presented, but the whole experience of dining at AgriBarocco is one I shall never forget. Both breakfasts and dinners often came with a complimentary unexpected dish which was never short of amazing, and all food came with an explanation of where the ingredients are from and how it has been cooked. The skill, effort, and passion, placed into every breakfast and dinner by the friends at AgriBarocco results in the dining experience being a Michelin Star and one you should not miss. AgriBarocco is situated very conveniently in relation to Catania airport, this being a very simple one hour drive that you can spend solely on the motorway. This was very much appreciated being a first time driver abroad. It is also within close driving distance to many beautiful quiet beaches, and amazing towns like Noto and Ragusa Ibla. Overall, you wont be short of things to do staying at AgriBarocco. Staying in Suite Modica was an amazing experience, the clean private pool was a needed luxury on those beautiful hot days. Inside the suite is also a sight to behold which is comfortable, well laid out, and full of character. Vincenzo, Rosario, Vanessa, and Adriana are the most amazing hosts and will really make you feel at home for the duration of your stay. They all put so much effort into making sure your comfortable, well fed with amazing homemade Sicilian food, and that you always have something to do at the accommodation and nearby places. In conclusion, book your stay at AgriBarocco. You will not regret it.

United StatesThere could have been a little more variety in the menu offerings, but the food was homemade and delicious (especially the baked goods!). We also enjoyed our cooking experience with Nonna Ninnette and her helpers.
The four cottages, set in an orange grove, were very charming and furnished in a stylish and rustic way with all modern conveniences, including private terraces and dipping pools. The communal swimming pool and greenhouse eating areas were beautiful. Overall, staying here was a wonderful experience and the hosts could not have been more accommodating!

NetherlandsWe had an amazing time at Agribarocco! Vincenzo and Rosario and their families really went out of their way to make us feel at home, giving us great advice on local beaches, day trips to surrounding cities, and even let my boyfriend borrow a guitar to play during our stay. The family has put so much love into the property, and it really shows! Our suite was cute, we loved that it was decorated with mostly recycled materials, and the little plunge pool was really nice to lounge in. One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the food, which was some of the best we had during our vacation in Sicily. The greenhouse is beautiful, we loved having breakfast and dinner surrounded by all the trees and greenery. Breakfast was great, with so many delicious homemade cakes and jams to choose from, and also several savoury options. We had dinner in the greenhouse two out of the four nights and loved it, Rosario is so passionate about his food, cooking with fresh local produce and gave us great recommendations on dishes and off the menu. We really hope to come back some day!

If you’re looking to be welcomed into a Sicilian family, on a magnificent property - you must book this resort. The kindness, love and generosity shown by the owners is beyond anything I’ve ever experienced in hotels around the world. They clearly love their property and want to make sure every guest leaves feeling like a part of their family. The pool is a wonderful place to relax and despite only 4 rooms they have a pool bar and serve delicious apertivo every day. They will provide recommendations on all the day trips you can do (with perfect parking recommendations) making this property an ideal spot if you want to explore Noto, Syracuse, Ortigia, Ragusa and some of the incredible beaches in the area! By far one of the most memorable parts of this resort is their restaurant! We ate there on two nights and it was some of the best Sicilian food we ate during our entire trip. My best advice would be to let them pick the menu and wine - and be taken on a gastronomic feast - you really feel like you’re living (and eating) like a local. This is a true hidden gem in the south of Sicily and if you’ve come this far to be reading this review - don’t think about it any further, book this resort now!

United KingdomWow, what can we say about this amazing property. The owners are so friendly and helpful, we felt like part of the family by the time we left after only 2 nights. The room is comfortable and well equipped - even better than the photos. Set amid an orange grove in a little oasis. And the shared pool is so clean and relaxing. We loved having dinner here in the greenhouse dining room surrounded by tropical vines, such a unique experience. The food and wine was absolutely amazing, with lots of homegrown and homemade ingredients. These guys are clearly really passionate about what they do, and it shows in everything from the beautiful grounds to the quality of the food. This was our favourite part of our visit to Sicily and we'd love to come back someday. We wished we'd booked further in advance so we could have stayed longer. Thank you for a stay we'll never forget!
