Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandIt is smaller than might look in the pictures. Found a huge silverfish.
Location is great for visiting cinque terre. 4 minutes walk to main station, even at night considering traveling with 3 yo - super safe.

ArgentinaWe arrived half and hour earlier ( 10 :00 am instead of 10:30) We rang the bell because we thought there was a reception were we can drop put bags and wait for the room for be ready. We didnt know that you can't show up earlier in am Affitacamere so that was our fault. The person who opened door was a very angry man, he shouted at us and he was really rude. It' ruined our arrival and made us feel very distressed.
Elisa was a wonderful host. She was very friendly and helpful and provided us with tips and directions for visiting Cinque terre. The room was big and very nice and the beds were comfortable

AustraliaProbably that there was not enough space for hanging bath towels but we made it work.
Comfortable room with good amenities and a nice view over the square across to parts of the city. Location was excellent; minutes to the train station, a nice 20 minute walk to the port and lots of dining and shopping options nearby. Elisa and Simone were outstanding hosts who were welcoming and very hospitable. Simone always walked us to the elevator even when we took the stairs! Communications were clear and prompt and made us feel like family! Elisa provided lots of advice on what to do in La Spezia, how to access the Cinque Terre and recommended some local dining options. We dined at a couple of the recommendations and were suitably impressed. Grazie Elisa & Simone

SwitzerlandJust a note for people with babies, the elevator is quite tiny and we had to fold the stroller each time we used it. Although eventually it was fine and we managed.
The owners were super kind and friendly. The room was beautiful and everything was clean. The building is old but in a charming way and the elevator felt like traveling back in time to the 1920's, which was really cool!

NetherlandsBathroom was a bit small and was missing towel hangers which could be useful. Windows in the room are big with white and a bit transparent curtain. I’m very sensitive for light when sleeping therefore would be nice to have additional dark curtains.
Nice and clean rooms with airconditioning. In the middle of the city with nice view. Amazing owners who even helped us with our luggage. Very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!

AustraliaParked in paid parking initially (La Spezia Centrale) and walked our luggage from there to the accommodation (about 5 minutes, mostly downhill) and then moved car to free parking later that evening which was a 10 minute walk back. Cute old building! Tiny classic European lift up to the third floor much appreciated with luggage. Good check in process, called 2 hours prior to arrival and then Elisa met me at the reception and went through everything you need to know including paid and free parking options, nearby restaurants etc. and I even got to choose between two rooms. Room was comfortable, nice exposed brick. Wine a lovely touch, and some chocolates offered too! Coffee, sweets/candy on offer in the hallway as well as an ice machine which was also much appreciated when coming back in from the heat. Lovely little touches in the room, a little shampoo/body wash bottle and a body lotion bottle. Water pressure from hand held shower head good, but from the overhead rain shower it was low pressure. Shower was draining slowly but easily fixed by loosening the drain cap. There was even a light over the shower that had a remote where you could change the colours and make it flash etc haha random. Good mini fridge in the room to keep drinks cold. No breakfast but we don’t eat breakfast anyway, and there is plenty of options close to the accommodation to get something if you want. Very reliable fast free wifi. Great air con. Windows are triple glazed. The building was mostly quiet at night time but you can still hear a bit of traffic outside and occasionally I could hear the ice machine making ice but we both slept very well and it did not affect us at all. Great location, less than 5 minutes walk to La Spezia Centrale station, and right next to the main tourist restaurant/cafe strip. Also there is a delicious new Chinese restaurant next door called Zhong. Easy check out.

FinlandNo coffee machine or breakfast in the apartment, but there were breakfast spots right downstairs, so it wasn’t a big deal.
The apartment exceeded my expectations; very clean, with a comfortable bed, a lovely view, and quiet thanks to noise-cancelling windows. Being able to open the window added a nice touch. Elisa and Simone were warm and helpful, almost like hotel-level service. We got great tips for dining and tours, and parking was easy in a nearby hall.

United StatesThe only problem we had was trying to find the apartment via gps with spotty WiFi. I would recommend putting Yamaha as your destination as that store was on the ground level. The owners ultimately came to our rescue and led us to the apartment.
This is in a central location near train station and parking. It is on the 3rd floor (with a small but functional lift) of a beautiful historic building. The owners were lovely to deal with. The room was very clean and mattress & pillows were extremely comfortable!

BelgiumThe lift taking to the 3rd floor is very small, and not easy to get the luggage in; but with a bit of patience it works
The quality of the rooms is quite good, and the location is great, in the city centre and close to main public transport. The owners of this rooms rental are very kind and always available to support.
