The view was outstanding looking straight out at the sea and the harbour. Beautiful. The young man whose name I cannot recall was so accommodating and provided us with breakfast the next morning which we enjoyed out on the balcony. Bliss

Amazing stay at La Lanterna! We stayed for 9 nights and loved every moment. The service was outstanding, the room spotless, and the location perfect – right in the heart of beautiful Portovenere. Breakfast delivered to the door each morning was a lovely touch. Everything exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely be back!

All good—no negatives

The location and view from the balcony, which had a small table and two chairs, were perfect! There is also a line for clothes for those partaking in the beach. The rooms are spacious with attached bath, private sitting area with mini fridge, and bedroom with aircon. Francesco welcomed us warmly on arrival to show the room features and at breakfast, which was a nice light combination of boiled egg, cornetti, juice and coffee.

The room was perfect - very clean and well equipped (including small frig, wine glasses and corkscrew!) Fabulous location - restaurants right outside the door. Fabulous view of the port from the balcony. Despite the central busy location, when the balcony door was shut the room was very quiet. Warm brioche and cappucino (along with other breakfast offerings) were an added bonus. Had booked for 2 nights, but liked it so much stayed an extra night (luckily it was mid-week, before high season). Really great value for the money Host responded to any questions immediately Would definitely stay there again (and loved Portovenere itself also!)

You feel like home. The bed is very comfortable, bathroom size and facilities are great, balcony is loving! The room is equiped with good furniture and you can see the owners' caring in every detail.

Everything was superb. The location was perfect, there is a balcony overlooking the water, the rooms were clean and spacious. They set the table for us for breakfast and provided us with an array of breakfast options, served right at our door each morning. The host was so sweet and friendly. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

Location is wonderful and the balcony is very nice overlooking the harbor and all of the beautiful yachts that come and go. The staff are wonderful and the daily breakfast cart is so nice to wake up to. Portovenere is an amazing destination. We would gladly return.

nothing - absolutely perfect. If mobility is an issue there are steep stairs.

Location fantastic, right in the village overlooking the marina, could not be better. Quiet enough, but could also sit on the balcony and watch the ocean and the activity of the village. The owners were lovely people, generous breakfast was a lovely surprise. So many little details and thoughtful touches. Very sad we didn’t book more nights!

The location can’t be beat! You are right in there at the harbor. My room overlooked the water and it was so lovely. The owner was very kind and even helped me get my luggage up and down the short flight of stairs.
