Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Our room was very clean with a comfortable bed and had all we needed. It was cleaned each day and made our return feel special. The delicious breakfast each morning along with Luca’s presence and help with anything we needed made Affittacamere Mariella the best place to stay. Also having access to the bikes was an added bonus for trips into town or to nearby locations (i.e., Bonnosolo, Framura). Levanto is a lovely town and a great jumping off point to explore Cinque Terre.

AustraliaThe room was a bit dark.
An ideal base to visit 5-Terres attractions: a quiet location 10 minutes walking distance from Levanto town centre, and 5 minutes from the train station that serves 5-Terres. The breakfast was fine, with a good food selection and a possibility to have pancakes, fried eggs etc. on order. Free parking nearby with owner's parking permit; a veranda to have a drink or a snack in the sun (or dry up clothes). We appreciated owners' advice on what to visit and do in the region; they also provided us free bicycles for a very nice trip along the coast.

CanadaEverything was fine. If I’m being picky, only thing is the pillows were a bit hard.
Very gracious hosts. Luca answered all questions and gave us recommendations for our stay. Always pleasant and helpful. Loved the bikes!! That was an added bonus. Breakfast great 👍 Terrace up top was nice also to sit out and have a drink or coffee

GermanyVery Friendly Host, Absolute recommending for Others
We had a wonderful 3-day stay in Levanto, made even more special by our amazing host, Luka. He was incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with great tips on where to enjoy authentic local food. The room was spotless and comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location was perfect—just a short and easy walk to Levanto station, making it very convenient for exploring the Cinque Terre. Highly recommended!

GermanyA proper family-run establishment, where the guests actually feel like they are in an Italian home. If your plan is to visit Cinque Terre, but not to stay at the villages, this place in Levanto is ideal. Luca & his parents were our host, and they were very nice, hospitable and friendly. There's parking well outside the ZTL, wifi, quick access to the railway station, well kept rooms with AC... One could not ask for more. Highly recommend this place, especially if you don't like the ultra-commercial offerings in and around Cinque Terre.

CanadaThe mattress can be upgraded to a full mattress and not 2 mattresses to make a larger bed But for one night it would have been acceptable enough.
Our host Lucas was a real helpful and kind person. So thankful for his kindness.

Lovely little family run B&B close to station and the lovely bars and restaurants in Levanto. Excellent home cooked breakfast with fresh cake & pastries every day. Luca was so helpful with lots of recommendations on places to see, transport options and places to eat. Parking available too! Rooms very traditional & had everything you need including aircon, a fridge and a safe. Excellent value for money too.

AustraliaNothing to dislike
The apartment was close to the station. There’s a supermarket nearby and it’s a short walk to the centre of town. We had a small kitchen so did not take advantage of the breakfast option but if it was as good as our studio it would have been excellent. The host, Lucca is very attentive and always available to share information on the area. Levanto is a destination in itself, the added attraction of Bonassola and the Cinque Terre is a bonus

United StatesThis is our 3rd time at Affittacamere Mariella. It is family owned and run and they make us feel like we are part of their family. Breakfast is good and the room is comfortable and good sized. The bed is very firm which I like and it is a large bed (not kicking your partner in the middle of the night.)

CanadaThough the bed was relatively firm, I might say I’d prefer a slightly firmer bed. But my wife felt it was fine.
Luca was very gracious and accommodating. Luca greeted us mid afternoon and explained the particulars of Mariella’s, and the facilities near us (grocery/restaurants), and that we could call if we needed anything else. Our unit was rather spacious, very clean, quiet, air-conditioned,and came with a mini-fridge. On the second day, Luca provided us with bikes, which we used to see some amazing scenery. The breakfasts were excellent…including starting the day with a cappuccino! Very convenient location…a 5-10 min walk to the station and 10-15 min from downtown. We were also able to use their clothes line to get some much needed laundry done.

GermanyMosquito-nets on windows would be great, since we couldn't open the windows at night.
Very nice room with well equipped kitchen. The apartmen is a bit far from the beach to walk, but we got free bikes from Lucas father. It was just perfect and solved all the transport questions. Parking is not a problem - we could leave a car in the parking nearby. Luca is very hospitable and helpful, thank you very much!
