How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Since it was situated on a street where cars had access (plus its central localisation), it could get a bit noisy at night

After room cleaning stuff turn off room A/C and room get hot but air conditioner work well and cool off room in 15 min

Nothing we didn't like
The location was top, walking distance to all the main attractions of the city and also the train station. The accomodation was clean and welcoming and the hosts super !!! We highly recommend this B n B.

I can't fault them, it was great!
The staff were amazing, very helpful and friendly. The room was perfect! The breakfast was an added bonus, great service and a wide selection of drinks/food on offer. We stayed in five hotels during our stay in Italy and B&B De Biffi was by far the best. I would definitely come back!

The location is amazing, near all main attractions and near S.N.M train station. Breakfast was amazing and they even left us a giveaway bag with local sweets which was nice.

Parking was difficult which was even more of a challenge because our flight was delayed and we didn’t arrive until after midnight. This was not B&B DeBiffi’s fault just it is in the walking zone.
Convenient, clean, great made to order breakfast!

The noise. Unfortunately the windows and walls weren’t sound proof - you could hear everything happening outside and in the rooms next door.
Location was the best part of this accomodation. Central to everything and easy accessible. The staff were also very helpful The room was clean and good size for a couple.

Not enough toiletries such as conditioner and body lotion. It came with shampoo which was also used for body wash.
Location was a perfect spot near everything you needed. The room is very spaciously clean and organized with a working AC unit. The owners are very nice.

Everything was perfect.
Perfect room size for a family of 3, very spacious and comfortable This is not normal for a tmroom in Europe. Plus, the location was perfect. The staff is very attentive and the breakfast options are very nice. We loved the experience, and when back in Florence, this will be our B&B!

No Mirror in the Room: A basic item that was missing and made getting ready a bit inconvenient. Sofa Bed: One of the beds was a converted sofa, which may not be the most comfortable. Old Building Feel: While charming, the old structure means you may miss out on some modern conveniences. Limited Breakfast Options: The selection was minimal and there’s no proper dining area — just a kitchen corner where you place your order.
We stayed at B&B De Biffi as a family of four, including two children aged 4 and 12. The room offered was moderately sized and had a cozy, home-like feel. It included a decent bathroom but surprisingly lacked a mirror in the main room, which was a bit inconvenient. The sleeping arrangement included three beds, with one being a converted sofa bed. While the space was quite generous considering the central location, it’s important to remember that the building is old — typical of Florence’s historic heart — and has been refurbished into a hotel setting. We opted for breakfast, which was a simple affair — croissants, omelettes, and a few other basic options. There’s no dedicated dining area; instead, you place your order with a lady in the small “kitchen area,” and she prepares and delivers it to your room. While the breakfast was adequate, don’t expect a buffet or a wide selection. Location-wise, this B&B scores very well. It’s in the heart of Florence, with most major attractions within walking distance — including the Duomo and Michelangelo’s David at the Accademia Gallery. Roads in the area are typically narrow and busy, but that’s part of the charm of staying in such a central, historic location. Taxis were readily available, and there were plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Overall, it’s a good choice for families looking for a centrally located stay with basic amenities. Just manage your expectations regarding the luxury and services.
