How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The shower was very small. No coffee offered in the room, only tea.
Lovely Air BnB. Comfortable enough. Host was engaging. Breakfast was good. Fruits and muesli was on the menu as well as an array of pastries.

Nothing 😊 everything was amazing!
The property is located at an excellent spot next to the old town center. It is also an amazing old building turned into a B&B and you can see all the old fashioned characteristics. The room was extremely spacious, clean and with all the amenities, plus it was cleaned everyday. The staff are really friendly and helpful and welcome you every morning. The breakfast might seem small but it’s full of variety and typical Italian tastes which was amazing. Would definitely recommend and it was absolutely value for money. Also there is free parking outside and the area is super safe. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

We had a fantastic stay at this charming B&B. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The room was spacious and comfortable, and breakfast was absolutely delicious – made even better by enjoying it on the beautiful garden patio. Secure on-site parking was a great bonus. Would definitely stay again!

Everything was perfect in this B&B. It is a beautiful well kept and decorated mansion. The breakfast was delicious and well presented. The hosts were friendly and accommodating.

The breakfast was at the Bar down the street.. the Kennedy Bar. Best hot Gallate di mele I ever tasted. The staff were so friendly and the capuccini excellent!

Beautiful grounds with a serene garden to relax in. Room was large, spacious, and beautifully decorated. Walking distance to all the historical churches, restaurants, shopping, etc. Breakfast was excellent with many fresh baked goods each day. Daily room cleaning and a kind and friendly staff made this the perfect location for several days in Lecce.

Everything. What a well kept historic villa B and B. Michele was so welcoming, excellent breakfast and good roomy facilities. Very close to Lecce historic centre and easy walking distance from the train station.

What a great experience in Aedes B&B! Everyone who works there is super kind! Large room very confortable, with a view on the garden. The breakfast was really good. I definitely recommend this place!

Impossible to apoint anything wrong or bad.
Everything was better than expected. A truly amazing place: well located (I had no problem to park the car and the center of the city is on the other side of the street), good breakfast, wonderful facilities.

Minor issues: the bed was pretty creaky, the shower holder wouldn't stay up. We mentioned these issues to the owner, but it was unclear whether/when they would be fixed. The Bordeaux welcome mat was slightly confusing!
The location and the friendly staff were brilliant. Breakfast was good. The room was spacious. The garden looked like it would be wonderful in warmer weather. Overall, good value for money. We would certainly return.

There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like.
The hotel was perfectly placed to get to all the main sites & the train station. We stayed for two nights. The room was big. We opted for a third bed to be added and it was a very comfortable sleep. The staff were really helpful and friendly, getting us extra bits that we asked for eg corkscrew. Breakfast was plentiful with good range of foods to choose from. Lovely garden too, which we spent a sunny few hours in. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Difficulty to park for free.
Good location and communication from staff. Free street parking almost impossible but can pay €10 a night to park onsite which we elected to do.
