Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Arab EmiratesThe bed was a little uncomfortable and there was very little soundproofing in the room (but expected due to the age and location of the building). We could hear the guests in the other room and in the breakfast area, but it wasn't too bad and not at an unreasonable hour. Otherwise, absolutely perfect.
The location was absolutely beautiful with a lovely view of Civita di Bagnoregio from the terrace. The owning family were very friendly, supporting us with parking and giving us all the information and tips to visit the old medieval town as well as the village. The room was spacious and the bathroom had all the amenities you need. The breakfast was fantastic - fresh baked goods from the local bakery and a coffee machine to make coffee whenever we wanted. A lovely weekend getaway to celebrate my partner's birthday well spent!

United StatesThe only problem we had is that we did not have hot water in the shower in the morning. So had to take a cold shower. Maybe we didn't turn it on properly but we tried every direction to get the hot water to flow.
Beautiful location and beautiful room! The view was amazing and the staff was incredibly helpful. They accommodated our early departure by leaving us a lovely breakfast. Lovely deck with view of the village. Gelateria next door so we had our last gelato in Italy that night sitting on our balcony watching the sun go down on the beautiful village.

Everything was fantastic. Andrea was super helpful with checkin and parking. While the hotel only has 3 rooms, it is very well equipped. I couldn't believe they weren't all booked during our visit. It's the best location for visiting Civita and the views from the rooms are amazing! The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Andrea and her brother are very friendly. Check out their perfume shop in Civita! We bought some great soap there. I highly recommend staying here!

AustraliaNothing to report, I've done 40 plus reviews here on this site and I can't think of anything.
Run, don't walk to stay here. There is no better place to stay in this amazing place. First is the location, you have a view of the Civita right from the terrace. You are meters from the walkway to the city and the bridge staff will wave you through as the entrance to the town is included in your stay. You have three parking options essentially, one that is not too far on foot, the other a stone throw away from the front door. I'd recommend paying the extra to stay in the private spot, it is tight but being so close is great. They also take care of the ZTL registration for you as well. Next is all the staff we had interactions with. They were all so nice, happy to help and had all the best advice about your stay. The soaps they provide are amazing, I wish we had more budget and case space to take some with us. Their shop is beautiful as well. Just walking the Civata at sunset is one of the most magical places I have been on earth. The town on the mainland was also nice, the first restaurant down the road from the room was amazing, some of the best food I have had across 13 regions in Italy. The room itself was great too, it is bigger than the pictures lead on, the bathroom is well designed and spaced out, the best in all of our travels. It is amazing how just a well thought out shower space can make your stay so much more comfortable. It was nice to have access to a kitchenette in the common dining room which is not awkward at all. We received a package of delicious bakery fresh italian style breakfast items delivered first thing. So happy with ou stay.

AustraliaOnly a tiny comment - perhaps some sort of shade for the balcony. But that comment doesn't in any distract from the overall lovliness.
What a little gem. Beautifully appointed with views that went on for miles. The rooms themselves were spotlessly clean and gorgeous. The owners, Danielle and Andreas, were so very helpful and accommodationing. Don't miss this one

United StatesWe really had no complaints! The front of the B&B is not easily identified from the outside, but Andrea arrived quickly and let us in.
We liked everything! The room was well designed and modern without being austere. We had a view to die for! The breakfast was good and the check-in was easy!

CanadaThe pillows were not fluffy enough for my liking. But I’m a pillow snob. Haha. I haven’t found a good one in Italy over the past 3 weeks.
The location of this property was at the foot of Civita di Bagnoregio.

JapanAndrea’s sense of hospitality felt like an embodiment of Civita’s majestic land itself—without any exaggeration. As it seems to be a family-run place, I recommend doing your best to stick to your scheduled arrival time. If you’re coming by rental car, you’ll need to enter a restricted zone (similar to a ZTL) just past the public parking area at the edge of town—go ahead and proceed. You can later give your license plate number to a staff member, and temporary stopping for unloading luggage at the accommodation is not an issue. There appear to be several parking options nearby, and if space is available, you can park about 50 meters from the property for around 15 euros. Despite being just steps away from breathtaking nature, the room was clean, comfortable, and had a modern feel. I felt truly grateful to the housekeeping staff for keeping everything so spotless. The amenities provided in the room were also excellent—they’re available for purchase in the village, and I was able to pick up some lovely souvenirs for friends. Above all, the stunning view of Civita from the balcony—both at night and in the morning—was absolutely unforgettable.

AustraliaThe rooms were recently renovated and our room included a balcony with a beautiful view of the hills. Owners were very responsive with communication and gave clear instructions to follow for the check-in process. We also got to park our vehicle at the limited private parking spot for €15. We enjoyed visiting the village at the top whenever we could as it was in our front doorstep!

BrazilProbably the best hotel we've stayed in our eurotrip on 9 different hotels. Room is very cozy, mixes very well a roustic/wooden with a more modern style. The view to Bagnoregio was absolutely AMAZING. I was always shocked to look at the balcony and see that was our view. The same family that owns the accommodation has a beauty shop inside the Civita, with great products.

MaltaThe only thing that can be improved is the breakfast. Although it is delivered fresh in the morning and it is delicious, it lacks variety, there is only sweet things.
The property was literally the second building from the bridge. We could see clearly Civita from our huge terrace and it was lovely, especially early in the morning when it was so quite. The place was very well kept and modern. Terrace view is tough to beat and the owners are really friendly.

Hong KongThe property is located in the ZTL zone. If you are driving you could choose to park either near to the property or outside the ZTL zone which you have to walk a long way. The extra cost is not much (15€ compare to 5€) which we definitely suggest to pay and park near the property. We do worried about the ZTL rules initially, but actually the owner will get everything sorted afterwards so that’s not a big problem either. Rest assured since the owner is very kind and helpful!
The property is located just at the entrance of Civita di Bagnoregio. The view is stunning with it sitting just outside the window. The owner is very nice and helped us arrange everything! They have a shop and garden in Civita di Bagnoregio which is also worth a visit.

SingaporeOur favourite accommodation for our Italy trip. Room was large, well-furnished, clean, spacious, and had a breathtaking view of the castle. Staff were also very generous and kind people who offered to drive us to the accommodation from the bus stop as we had large suitcases. They also gave us a tour and shared with us the highlights of the area, which was much appreciated and we are thankful for their time and for the lovely accommodation! Breakfast was delicious as well.

the room was well decorated, clean and wi-fi worked perfectly. the terrace was larger than we thought and the view was breathtaking. breakfast is large in portion with bread etc. from a local bakery (you can make your own coffee etc.) and a little kitchen in the common room lets you enjoy your rest should you wish it. the property also owns a little parking spot that you can book or a something extra and will let you go through the bridge at will instead of having to pay a ticket each time. same goes for a private garden inside town you can enter whenever you want (especially in the hours of dawn/sunset, but you can also dine there should you buy something from a local store).
