The only thing that could be better is the food (dinner). The portions are very small and not as good as one would expect in Italy. It would also be good if the staff had better English.

Pool area is exceptionally nice with the ability to swim inside-outside in the same pool. Also, the staff is incredibly nice and polite. Rooms are comfortable and the beds are nice and spacious.

Disappointing Experience – Poor Service and Unprofessional Staff Our recent stay at this hotel was very disappointing, primarily due to the extremely unprofessional and outdated staff. Upon arrival, we noticed that most of the staff were elderly and seemed untrained in hospitality standards, except for one young woman at reception who was helpful and professional. The pool had outdated and restrictive rules — swimming caps were mandatory, and it closed at 8 PM. The average age of guests appeared to be over 75+, many using walkers, which may not be ideal for younger families seeking a relaxing stay. While our room was satisfactory, the hotel is located far from the city center. The breakfast was subpar, offering a very limited selection — mostly salami and eggs, comparable to a 2-star hotel. A particularly upsetting incident occurred when my 3-year-old son picked up a small metal table number sign at breakfast to play with. Instead of handling the situation politely, the general manager aggressively confronted my wife and even threatened to call the police. No apology was offered, which was shocking. The following morning, I witnessed a 70-year-old guest crying at reception. When I asked what had happened, she said the elderly receptionist shouted at her for knocking on the wrong door while looking for the massage therapist. The massage service was equally disappointing. The therapist appeared unqualified, simply applying oil without any actual technique. Both my wife and another guest expressed the same dissatisfaction. Even accessing the gym was inconvenient. Guests must pick up a physical key at the front desk and declare how long they plan to stay, rather than using the room key for access — something quite unusual for modern hotels. We’ve stayed at many hotels in Abano Terme, but unfortunately, this was by far the worst in terms of staff behavior and outdated procedures.

The fact that they make you to wear a shower cap in the pool is ridiculous! The staff could hardly speak English!

Decor is very dated (although well maintained). The breakfast needs improvement - mediocre coffee from a machine, watered down juices and stale bread on occasions. Reception procedure is also very dated. We were not happy at being asked to leave our passports with reception until the next morning when we checked in (and when I went to request our passports back, I saw that they had been placed in an open box on the reception counter, within easy reach of any passer by!)

The hotel is very clean, with comfortable beds. In a quiet area - the rooms overlook the pools and fields. The pool and spa area is lovely - clean and spacious with ample sun loungers.
