Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomRoberta and Antonio were very kind and helpful. The property is on the outskirts of town, and Antonio picked me up from the centre, ran me to and from a good restaurant in the evening and dropped me off on the Via Francigena in the morning. The flat was very comfortable and well equipped with beautiful views from the balcony. We communicated mostly in Italian as I wanted to practise my language skills.

United KingdomDistance from town - but the offer of lifts to and from meant this was not a problem.
The hosts were so very warm and kind. Although the house is outside Campagnana, they drove to pick us up en route from town, and drove / collected us to and from our evening restaurant. In the morning they showed us a beautiful view of Rome and drove us to the Via Francigena to start our day’s walk. Really hospitable stay - thank you!

AustraliaCan't think of anything!
We were greeted on our arrival. They were super friendly and even made us bruschetta. The apartment itself was incredibly clean and comfortable. With everything we needed - especially the washing machine. We had a really lovely experience staying here :)

AustraliaWe absolutely loved being at casa Miele in Campagnano di Roma. Roberta e Antonio (the owners) were the perfect hosts. We arrived by bus and they came to pick us up from the little piazza of the town and later on showed us around the town. The actual apartment is perfect! It is spacious and comfortable. It has a fantastic balcony with a great view of the valley (east of Bracciano) and all the necessary utilities ( we cooked and washed our clothes while there). We really enjoyed our time here. Campagnano e casa Miele were overall a perfect choice for the two of us. We hope to come back and spend more time here soon. Grazie tantissimo!

United KingdomNothing we didn’t like
Nothing not to like about this property. Antonio and Roberta are amazing hosts and so welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. The views from the balcony are beautiful and it’s great to sit out there and chill out (especially after a very long day on La Via Francigena)

AustraliaI'm a fastidious recycler and I love that they provide bins for the different kind of materials recycling. At home, however, I use the Japanese Bokashi fermentation system for my kitchen organics to prepare that stuff to go into my compost bin to soon then become ready for feeding the plants around the garden with excellent black soil. I don't expect any B&B to necessarily have this set up, but it's something I always lament when I'm travelling. I discussed this with Roberta and she showed me the composting bins she has but the Japanese Bokashi bins are evidently something new to her. I might convert her, so stay posted. Really this can hardly be called a negative, can it? I love this place. But imagine the joy of knowing you're feeding the geraniums on the balcony with rich black soil from A Casa di Miele's own bokashi and compost bins? The place is really well set up for an enjoyable stay and I've used it to the max with all my daily cooking and eating and relaxation routines. I was dropped at the swimming pool by Antonio the other day for my first visit and it'll be part of my routine now I know its location about 10 to 15 minutes walk from here. The price was a little steep for an under-size Olympic pool, but that won't prevent me going back every time I'm here.
I have been here before so I naturally wanted to come and be here again. This time I'm on my own because I had to do a task for a project and this was the obvious choice. I think it's superb and I intend to keep coming here or recommending that people come here. Roberta and Antonio are excellent hosts and use their language exchange technologies very professionally to make things clear between everyone. I'm so impressed with their comfort and skill negotiating arrangements no matter what language they need to interact with. Excellent and really very competent hosts indeed. Can't be more clear about my satisfaction.

AustraliaThere was a large dog a few doors down who I think was on his own a lot so he barked for quite a bit through the day. We had not been well so perhaps we found this more annoying than we should and obviously most people would be out and about sight-seeing so it wouldn’t bother them anyway. Other than that, a wonderful stay!
Had a terrific view, had all the things we needed for a comfortable stay, even a microwave which Roberta and Antonio brought from upstairs for us which was so kind. We loved having chats to them via Google Translate. They checked up on us a few times to make sure we were happy.
