How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Verified reviewGreat location two minutes from the center. About 7 minutes from the central station in Mantua. The room was large, with a large and clean bathroom, equipped with everything you need. Small things for breakfast were left in the room, there was a kettle for hot water, coffee and tea. The owner is an extremely kind and intelligent person who would help you with any information!

Verified review1.we chose this facility because of the parking. Actualy we found out that there is no parking and we parked outside the city and then took a shuttle to the center, and then 10 minutes by foot 2. the air conditioner was not working, therefore we opened the window and couldn't sleep because it was noicy 3. the bathroom was outside the room, so we had to pass through the public coridor. Finaly, after the first night, we decided to leave and go to another hotel, but we still had to pay for 3 nights
-- 1) Parking: If this portal says that customers are satisfied with the parking, it means that most people who choose me know that in a 2500 year old historic city, it is a luxury to have a garage under your house, in a limited traffic area. In the welcome message that I sent you immediately after your booking are indicated the best parking and you did not hail anything, to the point that you also sent me a new request for information about parking. I gave you the cheapest one outside the restricted-traffic zone, inside which all transit and parking is prohibited. I would like to inform you that the city’s cycling regulations are the responsibility of the City Council together with the Local Police, so if you have any complaints about the city’s road cycling, contact them. -- 2) Air conditioning: the air conditioning was not active, since the outside temperature was 12/14 degrees and there was no way to operate it because for reasons of sustainability and energy saving the machine turns on when the outside temperature exceeds at least 26 degrees. 3) External bathroom: If you had paid more attention to your choice and had read at least the first 5 lines of this site you would have noticed that there is written: "... your room is equipped with a hairdryer and parquet floors, and an external private bathroom...". Maybe you should take a closer look at your stuff. Maybe you’re a man for a hotel and you probably made the wrong choice, because Armonie is different: it’s a bed & breakfast. as it is written (B&B) in the title of the page of this portal. If in the last 60 reviews are visible ratings and reviews from eight to ten, maybe your review is related more to your inability to decide, than to the value of my B&B

Verified reviewOur host was extremely helpful and provided hot beverages and cakes in the morning which were unexpected. The room and separate bathroom were well maintained and the bed was very comfortable. Host provided a list of restaurants and showed us some places worth visiting on the map. He also kindly offered to post postcards we had written.
The sign is small for the building, so if like us after travelling by plane, bus and train to get there it may take you a few minutes to find the correct door to the B&B. No TV. This was fine for us though as we had a toddler and mostly used the room for naps and early bedtime.
Dear Gentlemen, I never enter into the merits of a review, because I believe that each of us perceives reality differently. I thought a lot about whether to respond to your review because I’m tired of wasting my time answering people unable to make choices for their lives. You complained because there was no television and because you had trouble finding the B&B because of the B&B’s sign that was too small. THE TELEVISION: Television is not there because it is my choice for more than 20 years for my life and 11 in the B&B. The television is not a mandatory equipment of the B & B and also from experience, I was tired of having angry people during breakfast, because they had disturbed each other with the volumes of television sets or because politics was bad or because the team of the heart had lost the football game! Have you found any indication of the existence of the television on the sites where I am legally registered? No, then learn to read. THE SIGN OF THE B & B: The B & B is a private house of which a part has been put to tourist hospitality use. It is not a professional activity but, an occasional, non-professional activity that families carry out at home. For this reason, the current legislative provisions would not allow B&Bs to have advertising signs. My little sign is a compromise between nothing and everything. Allow me to remind you that every house in Italy is marked by a street number with which, in Piazza Alberti where my house is located and no larger than 100 square meters, you could have found the B&B more easily. I was taught that in school when I was eight. All this, shows that you do not know what B&Bs are and yet you are Irish and you were the first to create this type of hospitality! Have a lovely life!
