How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

While the shower itself is large enough, the shower door is quite narrow, difficult even for an average sized person to enter. A shower curtain would have served the purpose.
Breakfast was very good. The breakfast staff was quite friendly and helpful. The location was convenient to get to Bari and other sites. The room was large and clean. The bed was comfortable.

Lobby is good. Breakfast is very, very very small selection. Pretty much some cheese, a few salami, milk, yogurt, cereal and a few baked goods. The rooms are quite dated, but ok.
Good location. Easy parking. Outside of the city but not far away.

fairly close to the road so if you have light sleep you can hear motorcycles and cars during the night.If you have hard sleep you will not have problem (or perhaps if your room in on different side of the hotel)
secure parking, spacious room and bathroom. Just 10 minutes walk from the restaurants in Capurso.

Could provide a kettle in the rooms as when we got to the hotel, the restaurant was closed so we had no way to order or make tea

The only surprising thing was that you couldn't switch off the conditioner without turning off the electricity in the whole room. Overall, it was still a very positive experience.
I regret staying there only for one short night. The service was super good, and the manager was very helpful. Although we were leaving very early, she left us good snacks for our breakfast. The room was spacious and very comfy.

Wifi did not work on our room. Signal was too low and only worked in ground floor. The fridge in our room was not working so we had to store our things in the hotel bar’s fridge until they replace ours the next day.
Staff was really nice and did the best to solve the issues we had.

Nothing I can think of!!! :)
It was clean and everyone was friendly and helpful. We had a long day of traveling upon our arrival. They even let us check in at 11am!!! (Typically check in is at 3pm). They were super accommodating!!!!!

I was more disappointed with the run down Capurso area than the hotel but it was just a one night stopover before moving on the following day. I chose it so it was no-one's fault but mine. The rooms are large and clean but dated. The bed was rock hard and the pillow far too soft. I had requested a bath and firm foam pillows if possible on booking and had been told, quite tersely I thought, that the hotel could provide neither. The food in the restaurant was okay, nothing more. There was ample free parking. I don't remember seeing a swimming pool but we arrived after 13.00hrs so too late to use it anyway. Despite the staff being lovely, out of my 8 weeks travel this was the least comfortable of all my hotel stays on my journey. If someone had told us it was on the verge of closing down, we would not have been surprised.
The air con worked, thank goodness as it was 38ºC outside. We arrived during the siesta period but the young man on reception was very helpful in providing us with information about the area and a drink from the bar but there simply weren't enough amenities to fill the gap left by the siesta period.
