during my stay, the owner texted me and said she has problem to charge my credit card, I need provide updated card information I showed her my payment confirmation on booking.com and had to show her my credit card statement as a proof, this is not something people feel comfortable at all

The WiFi didn’t work and there was no clear password for the main WiFi. The shower curtain didn’t keep in the water

The apartment was clean, beds were comfy, nice to have a kitchenette so we could cook a meal, although a sink plug or washing up bowl would have made washing up easier. The tv didn’t work, no reception for any channels or Netflix, would have been nice to have & if it’s not working probably shouldn’t be advertised. We arrived a bit early & called to ask if we could check in & were told this was fine so that was handy.

Check-in was frustrating because you have to call them from a phone in the lobby and you get a recording in Icelandic, which we could not understand. Thankfully they were quick to respond through booking.com messaging to help us get in. Also our tv would not turn on.

The room was very big and had a nice view of the harbor. It was nice to have a kitchen and a table in the room.

The bed was simply a mattress and box spring sitting in the floor. Two of the windows had a single curtain that did not cover it so you see outside and people could see in. The room wasn’t dark at night because of the street lamps. We were told that a smart tv, satellite cable and hair dryer were provided and they were not. The lightbulb in the overhead light blinked the whole time so we had to unplug it.

The location was good.

Curtains need to be better especially for Iceland daylight weather. Theres lots of light tht come through. The signs in the hotel need updating as theres lots of old information. So, unsure of the check out timings. Staff not responsive on the booking app. The temperature of the shower knob was broken so it was stuck on hot water. Location of power sockets in room n kitchen are very off. Some salt and pepper in the kitchen and few basic condiments would be great.

The largest space I stayed in at Iceland. Its a whole apartment. Self check in and out thru the code sent to you. Great view from the room of the mountains and water. Grocery store near by. All pots and pans and dishes provided.

It was not easy reaching the hosts to get my room number and key code, they didn't answer the phone immediately and when they did, the connection was bad and got disconnected - eventually the phone didn't ring at all. I messaged them through the Booking app and fortunately they replied there with the number about 15 minutes later. Employees in a restaurant downstairs told me this is a very common problem - some wait longer before reaching them. It would be much better if the numbers were sent on the day of arrival, rather than having to rely on reaching them on arrival. There is a TV but no channels seem to be active. Maybe I could have connected a thumb drive or computer to watch my own stuff, I didn't try.

Great location in the center of town, a short walk to the town grocery store, information center and mini museum. Easy parking, and a fast charger for my car across the street. Huge room, nice views over the working harbor. Good restaurant downstairs. Ólafsvík is a very cute town and great base to explore Snæfellsnes.

No washer or dryer. Mattress needs replacing, uncomfortable. Bathroom good size but wash basin small size .

The place was clean and impeccable. Kitchen fully stocked with utensils. Everything u need to make a simple meal is there.

Many lights were NOK. Neighbours were noisy and disturbing. No staff on site (we got the code by app to open the door and that’s it). Really I do not like it: too cold and impersonal.

I was concerned due to reviews about check in process but all went smoothly. The unit was very spacious with kitchenette.

It was hard to find - no street numbers on the building and the sign was less than obvious. The bathroom needed a chair or small table or hooks to hang clothing while using the shower.

It was a good apartment for two people based in Olafsvik for a couple of days exploring Snaefellsnes. Well equipped kitchen, central location, clean and tidy. Great view of the harbour and the bay.
