The furnishings were spare and there was no decoration. It felt like a dorm room. There was only one bedside table with no lamp. There was a desk lamp but over on a desk with two uncomfortable chairs. It would have been nice to have an armchair and another lamp or two. Also, it would have been nice to have a hot pot for tea and better blackout curtains.

I liked the size of the room and the large bathroom with heated towel rack. It was also very quiet. I like that they had breakfast included.

Nothing we didn’t like. It’s no-frills but has the essentials and is kept beautifully clean.

Well located, only a short walk from the centre of Ísafjörður, the hotel is basic but had all we needed. Staff are lovely and very helpful. Perfect for our needs.

It was not apparent from the property descriptions that this is college dormitory converted to hotel lodging over the summer months. Really felt like going to back to my college days living in the very spartan dorm. Additionally, there are rooms with good views but we were not given those depsite there being very few guests staying in the hotel. Finally, there was construction being done over the summer and the construction equipment and supplies made it less appealing and obstructed the views from one of our rooms.

The location was pretty good, but not quite in the center of town so required driving or walk to restaurants and activities. The breakfast was good with several options. They also have a bookcase with a number of books in Icelandic and English (and perhaps other languages).

Front desk staff are bright and accommodating. Breakfast was ample, classic and well presented. Easy walking distance to town and great hiking path above it. Rooms are quiet and comfortable and spotless.

They'd only just reopened so they were just finding their feet - so, for example, they took ages to refill things at breakfast. There were no tea/coffee making facilities, but Reception were very helpful.

We liked the size of the room, the location and the friendly and helpful Reception. Breakfast was excellent. It is used as a school during term time so there are no TVs in rooms.

Breakfast was basic and fine, served between 7-10am but if you arrived around 9 then the drinks eg.milk & juices were warm. Bathroom need some kind of shelves or drawers for toiletry basics, no place to put your stuff.

Great location and surrounding. I believe this is a school normally, that rents out rooms in the summer. Everyone was really friendly, all was well kept and clean, breakfast was great. Quiet hotel also.

Nice sized room for three people with an amazing room looking at the Troll's Seat. Blackout curtains block out the sun perfectly so we had a good night's sleep.
