Very clean and comfortable. Highly equiped kitchen. Short drive to the main interest points in the area, and the jacuzzi outside was a welcome adition in the cold weather.

I think the blinds are a bit too light to make the top. Dark during summer and can be improved.

The location in the Thingvellir national park, the dimension of the cabin with 3 separate rooms and a great kitchen. The hot tub and the barbecue. Luke, the host, was really nice and helpful. We loved our stay here.

It is good for families with kids but not two couples. One bedroom has a double bed but the second has a bunk bed! But you can also use the living room couch for sleeping

We had a great time at the cabin. The view from the decking was lovely, we enjoyed the hot tub at sunset, the layout of the kitchen/lounge is great for the family, and the location was convenient.

This cabin was the perfect place for us to stay – we are not as mobile as we once were – but there was an easy walk down to the lake, and it is perfectly placed for days out further afield and nights spent watching the stars and planets and the northern lights which we saw several nights of our stay - Selfoss is a short drive away where there are plenty of places to buy supplies - the cabin was well stocked with things like salt and condiments which make a self-catering stay so much easier – from the visitor book it looked like most people only stayed a few days but we stayed nearly 2 weeks and really enjoyed our time there. Luke was a super responsive host.

The key safe box was very frozen during arrival and departure. With Icelandic winters, it may be a good idea to move the safe box to a more sheltered location out of the wind and ice.

The cabin was very clean and had thoughtful touches to it, such as board games and firewood for the wood stove. The radiators were all turned on to warm up the house for our arrival, which was an unexpected bonus. It was very peaceful and relaxing and we had a great time. The instructions for arrival were very thorough and the host was easy to contact. Very well run cabin.

Nothing really, it was fab.

The hot tub, the quiet tranquil location on a private road. The wildlife, comfy bed, spacious area, the fridge freezer with crushed ice function. It was amazing.

There's nothing not to like!!

I can only say good things about our stay - from way before we arrived, as communication with the owner Luke was the best I've ever had on Booking - he was mega responsive and extremely helpful! The place itself was magical - I could have easily just stayed there the entire four days!! Such a gorgeous place, with great amenities - we really appreciated the kitchen, it was way better than you normally get in holiday lets, and particularly helpful since we made our own food every day (bc the location is rather remote, and also to save money. This worked out perfectly - we also didn't feel like driving anymore after a long day of exploring). The hot tub was huge and such a great thing to have (actually, that was the main reason for me booking this - it was wonderful!). Getting there was easy, parking right by the cabin and you can walk down to the lake. I would 100% recommend this cabin for anyone wanting to explore this part of Iceland!!!!

Everything was great

The cabin is located in a quiet neighborhood near the lake and It is equipped with everything for a comfortable stay. The spa and grill also added an extra touch. The host, Luke was very personable, accommodating, communicative and helpful.😀

Nothing really, it was a very cool place to stay!

The cabin was well equipped, modern, cozy and situated in the middle of some stunning scenery. It had great views of snow-capped mountains in the distance and was a few minutes' walk from a beautiful lake (I did a bit of fishing in it). I loved the hot tub! I ran most mornings by the lake, the air was so fresh, and the views were other worldly and heartbreakingly beautiful. If you like nature and being close to it, then this is a great place for you. There was plenty to see in the surrounding area as well and I had good access to a lot of the main attractions in Iceland. The trendy little town of Selfoss is a short drive away and it has some very nice places to eat and do a bit of shopping. It’s also quite straightforward to drive to Reykjavík.

This beautiful cabin has a really nice spacious and modern layout. The cabin has a really well equipped kitchen with generally fantastic facilities. Probably the highlight is the stunning location which is a stones throw of one the most spectacular lakes I’ve ever seen.
