I found the breakfast a bit poor compared to other hotels of the same standard that we found along the road.

The hotel is in an isolated position but quite close to the main road and at 10km from the nice village of Stikkysholmur. It is all in wood, remembering a mountain chalet. The personnel is friendly and the room was clean and comfortable.

Loved this place!

Property was so charming and felt like you were at a log cabin. Hosts were welcoming and pleasant and made you feel right at home. Dinner was excellent. Rooms were very large and each had 3 twin beds which could be made into a king. This is our favorite place to stay so far in Iceland!

The road leads to the house is a little rocky.

It is a nice, clean log house. Staff are very warm and welcoming . They left the key on the counter when we arrived late at night. The dinners are very tasty.

We liked everything during our stay! The guesthouse is located in a very beautiful place, and we could observe it while eating breakfast in a spacious hall with big windows :) Everything was super clean, the interiors are very cosy and designed thoughtfully. The hostess that greeted us was really kind and nice :) Worth to mention that it is one of few places that accepts travellers with pets, while the price is still affordable. Thank you for everything, it was a super cosy place where we would gladly stay again!

The room was very spacious and clean and had an amazing view of the mountains on Snaesfellsnes peninsula. If it hadn't been cloudy and aurora activity had been high when we stayed, it would have been possible to see the northern lights directly from the window. The breakfast was amazing and an incredible value for the money. The owners were lovely and very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend staying here!

The staff were so wonderful, dinner was delicious, and breakfast was good value for money. Nicely stocked bar with simple stuff. Rooms were warm and clean, the hotel is pretty and looks traditional, and there are great views of the water and the mountains. Check in and out were easy and simple.

This is my second visit, and it’s safe to say this remains the most authentic and best place to stay in Iceland. Despite having stayed in more luxurious and high-end hotels during my travels here, none of them compare to the cozy, warm, and inviting atmosphere of this hotel. The attention to detail, genuine hospitality, and the overall comfort make it stand out. It’s clear the hosts genuinely care about their guests, which makes all the difference. I’ll definitely be back next year and wouldn’t think of booking anywhere else. If you’re looking for an unforgettable stay in Iceland, this is the place to be!
