A nice place to stay at the end of a long dirt road.lacking towels and some basic cooking ingredients like oil and salt.

Disappointing that there are no towels. This is a basic requirement that should be included. There was also no one to ask for one when we arrived.

    The country feel was good.

Cosy guesthouse in a tiny settlement at the edge of the fjord. Great location to get away from everything and relax in nature. Facilities are basic, but you have everything you need.

Kitchen could be more equipped, My room was near to washroom where one can hear continuous sounds if someone uses the bathroom,

Clean, Clean linens and towels, hot shower water, beautiful location to drive there but it’s remote, so better to go before getting dark or foggy else the road could be scary as I wasn’t able to see any road while on the mountains

Lack of any food or dining options locally. While a map at the property shows local hikes, we were unable to find any established trails or signage in the area.

Good value, relatively inexpensive. Beautiful, quiet area. Self check in, painless process.

No staff on site, but this is common it seems for the guesthouses in Iceland. Still, as a solo female traveler there were only 3 other men staying there and they were drinking. I'll stress that nothing inappropriate happened and they were respectful but being that the place is very isolated it wasn't a great vibe and I spent most of my time in my room.

Fantastic location, very interesting drive. Place met every need (though kitchen seemed a little sparse on some utensils). There was a nice common area and I believe they even had a shelf full of board games etc. for some entertainment. Plus wifi...

Towels not included in the price of the room (our bad for not noticing when booking).

We are not used to shared bathrooms, but it was comfortable and not an issue. everything was very clean and cozy. The shared kitchen was well equipped and the dining room was big and cozy.

The room was very small, although not dissimilar to other guesthouses in Iceland. The road into the fjord is unpaved and steep in places.

Some windows and doors are quite old and could use an upgrade. Also, the beds were not that comfortable.

Clean accomodation with everything you expect to have. The road to get here is a gravel road and it is a little bit long, but the scenery you see on the window is worth it. We were lucky and in the morning in which we checked out we were able to see some whales in the water which was an amazing bonus!

The location was as advertised - but for this accomodation the journey was the reward. Still, especially with a small car (Hyundai i10) the ride was adventurous but doable. Enjoy the view from the mountain top while driving and inside the fjord after arrival.

all good, nothing to complain - the owner told us ahead what to expect, gravel road and bring your groceries!

the view was just amazing - after managing the drive with our little car, not easy but doable, we had the perfect sunny weather with an spectacular view of the fjord.

Rooms have very thin walls. Not a problem for us, but we overheard neighbors complaining about snoring from the next room over (it wasn’t us!). Gravel road would be a tricky drive in winter, but fine in summer.

Lovely location at the end of a fjord. Very quiet outside. Beds were comfortable, including bunk beds. Can easily accommodate large groups and good common spaces.

Nothing. Everything was perfect. I would stay again.

Best of Best location we have stayed in Iceland. The way toward the guest house is bit tricky due to gravel road (not F-road). the speed limit is 20-30 KM/Hr. There is a chance you might get flat tire (We saw one guy had it). Be prepared.

The Location was just amazing. The road to reach the place is adventurous but for us it was manageable, even with a small citycar 2WD in rainy conditions. Amazing experience. The views of the fjord were just stunning.

The views this place has just getting there are amazing. It is off the beaten path, so we had no idea what we were going to see before we got there. Just make sure you take the switchback slowly. I took a walk down to the opening of the ocean. It was so beautiful.

I know this is outside of the hosts control but the other guests were loud and kept soaking the bathroom floor. The guesthouse had a weird strong odor. The rooms were very tight and the beds were very uncomfortable. The guesthouse was a challenge to get to. I would recommend a 4x4. If it had rained or snowed, we likely could not have driven up the very steep gravel road out of the fjord.

    The surrounding area is pretty.

This isn't the most modern place. This was in fact the oldest and not so modern stay out of 14 of my stays in Iceland for different days but wasn't bad either. It had everything I needed so nothing to really complain.

This had everything I needed :)
