Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThis hotel operates without front desk or staff on-site. It's not necessarily a problem, but locks to the lobby and to the room were somewhat capricious, and overall approach of remembering the pass that is provided 24 hours in advance, somewhat annoying. Also, entrance to the lobby diner through side door, and its somewhat uncomfortable to go through
It's a small hotel with its distinct room design/style, which I liked.

LithuaniaIt was quite tricky to find the exact location of the hotel in the building, as it didn't have very much visually present signs. On top of that, it was quite hard to figure out how the touch-screen number pad on the door works - after a long day it was a stressful experience to get it all right. Visual instructions on finding the spot and entering the key could have been very helpful here. There was no room service, during our stay of 4 nights the rooms remained untouched (not that as we know of) in terms of cleaning. This includes the trash in the bin that was not thrown out on any of the days. Refrigerator was buzzing, and since it was all in a single room, it could be difficult to fall asleep for irritable individuals.
The room looked really nice, clean and had neat design choices. The bed was comfortable. The kitchenette had most of the things that we needed and the oven could be used as a microwave. When we arrived we found out that refrigerator was not working. We reached out to customer support via chat and they resolved the issue quickly. The Wifi was alright and there was free parking space both in front and in the back of the building. We received all of the instructions for a self service check-in in time.

HungaryArriving 2am in the morning was not easy to find the entrance, i would put a larger and clean sign for easier reconization of the entrance. After finding it everything is easy and straight forward.
Queit good location, easy access to bus to downtown and grocery stores near by.

New ZealandLittle space for toiletries in the bathroom.
Self service check in. Secure entrance and door lock. The location was okay as there is a bus stop behind the hotel on the main street, easy to get into the city with public transport. And there are some restaurants in the block for 5-10 min walk.

Czech RepublicThere was a very loud dishwasher, we started it before going to bed and we couldn’t sleep until it turned off. Other than that, everything was okay.
There was 3 of us in one room and I would say there was enough space, however it is needed to say we only stayed for two nights. I believe the stay would have been a bit less comfortable had we’ve been here longer. The bathroom was clean and spatious. Beds were very nice. Parking was available infront of the hotel.

United StatesThere is not a single place in the room at all where you can hang your clothes. No hook in the bathroom to hang towels, no closet in the room, no hangers, which I find very inconvenient since we stayed for a few nights. For a room that's not all that small, they could definitely have designed it better to fit a small closet or even a rack of some sort.
Location is great, it's about 10min from downtown Reykjavik by car. Iceland can become very expensive if you eat out every day, so it's great to have a little kitchen in the room where we can cook simple meals.

United KingdomComplicated oven and hob and lack of storage but we worked around it. Tv a bit limited for English speakers.
Had very comfortable beds. Reasonably quiet location, private, dishwasher and tablets, coffee and tea and everything needed to make breakfast, snacks and simple dinners. Blackout curtains were good. Shower was amazing, toiletries good quality. Convenient door codes. Big windowsills to place toiletries and our stuff, and one shelf above bed. Dishwasher was welcome and good communication with the staff via messages.

LithuaniaThere was a bit limited space for storing belongings, but overall the stay was pleasant and perfectly suited for a short holiday.
The apartment was small, and the bathroom was also compact, but everything was clean and comfortable. We always found a parking spot, and there were plenty of essential items – from kitchen utensils to small everyday conveniences. The stay was pleasant and perfectly suited for a short holiday.

CanadaI felt that the place needed more attention to cleaning.
The format seemed simple to me and the instructions very clear. Although there is no staff available to answer questions, it is enough to write through the defined communication channels and the response is almost immediate.

CanadaThe ceiling was not finished, it looked creepy considering the bed was a bunk bed. A closet or additional space for hanging outside clothes would help.

ItalyFor travelers with a car, this apartment is an excellent choice. It's in a great location with free parking available, which is a huge plus. While it's a bit of a walk to get to the downtown area (about 50 minutes), it's only a quick drive away. The room itself was clean and comfortable, providing a pleasant place to rest. The bunk bed works well for a child, but it may feel a little too narrow for an adult.
