The fitness center, location (limited options around the area), power plant that fuels Blue Lagoon is not the best site for the eyes. And also smells like sulfur.

This really is truly a special and cozy lodging. Breakfast was solid with a decent variety of options. The dinner at Max's restaurant was always truly excellent. I had some of my best meals in Iceland in that restaurant (esp the risotto). The room was comfortable and spacious for Iceland/Europe standards. The location is good for a few days. I did feel that after 3 days, we felt confined with limited options around the area or in the facility (the gym was pretty basic with some machines not working). Overall, we will definitely be back again!

The aesthetic left a bit to be desired. Located right in front of an industrial geothermal plant - don’t expect great views from your hotel window.

It was exceptionally clean and close proximity to the airport for our early departure the next morning.

The lights in the room were too dim, and the carpeting in the halls had paint and stains all over, which didn’t make sense with the price and overall quality of the stay. Also, the room was a bit stuffy and the wall thermostat was not changeable.

Loved the kind staff, location, delicious dinner, the comfy room and wonderful breakfast buffet!

The property was great. I didn’t realize the power plant would be right outside my window but I could live with that as the location was my priority.

I liked the location and that is why I picked it. I expected a bit nicer accommodations for the price. The place was not but not a $475 a night type of place. The honey bar was a nice touch and so was the breakfast buffet. The service and staff were excellent. This was a $350 a night type of place. Would recommend with caveat of the price.

We had booked a Blue Lagoon transfer bus from our hotel in Reykjavik to the Blue Lagoon and saw on Google maps that you could walk to this hotel, but didn't realise that it was a bit of a roundabout way to get there. The hotel does a shuttle service so we could have asked them to pick us up, it was quite windy and could have done with this had we known. Also we didn't realise it says they have a wellness center but we still have no idea what was on offer, if it was a spa, or massagages. If we had known we might have taken advanage of this service.

Check in was quick, we had a lovely meal in their restaurant, the shower was good. Good honesty bar for drinks and snacks. We didn't know, but they had a shuttle service to the Blue Lagoon. The price was less than staying at the Blue Lagoon but it is a basic hotel so you are still paying for location even though the location is a bit away from the Blue Lagoon.

The fact that our room thermostat was locked and we wouldn’t set it below 25.5C which is too hot! There also didn’t seem to be any ventilation in the room and with the room on the ground floor and the strong smell for the hydro plant, we couldn’t keep the window open all night.

The proximity to the airport and the blue lagoon. Perfect for a quick stopover.

Clean and spacious. Love the L'OCCITANE shower gel, shampoo, hand wash provided. A cozy common area with drinking water / beverage station. Good breakfast spread especially the crispy bacon, coffee selection and fruits. It was raining when we were there, otherwise would be great view.

A great first night in Iceland. Right on the doorstep to the Blue Lagoon which is why we booked this hotel. The staff were super helpful and the shuttle to and from the Lagoon was very welcome.
