This property was the highlight of our Iceland summer. Everything was immaculate, the location was breathtaking and the attention to detail was exemplary. We enjoyed the facilities and the garden but the real show stealer was the hot tub where we and the kids all chilled out with music all evening. This cottage is absolutely amazing and inspirational! From the moment we arrived till the moment we need to go we loved it all, The hottub, sauna, bbq, the garden, the tea, the waffles, the jam. THANK YOU!

The accommodation was very well equipped, and the host was warm and welcoming, even though we arrived late at night. It truly felt like a home away from home and gave us a wonderful and restful night.

Everything about this home was wonderful. The owner met us at the door and gave a quick tour. The hot tub and sauna provided a fantastic start to our stay. The owner thought of all the details. Plenty of towels for both the hot tub and the shower. Games to play. Plenty of seating. Waffle mix for the morning breakfast. Incredibly nice coffee machine. Great washer/dryer set up.

Comfortable, spacious and stylish house with great kitchen, sauna and hottub. Very friendly neighbours who are also the owners.

Comfortable, cozy, spacious

We stayed at several places around Iceland for a similar price, but nothing came close to the experience we had at this guesthouse. From the moment we arrived, the hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They personally showed us to our room, which was cozy, clean, and well-equipped. We were amazed at how many extras were included: we received bath robes, we could do our laundry, make tea and waffles, enjoy homemade rhubarb jam straight from their garden, and even wash our car! On top of that, the relaxing sauna and hot tub made it the perfect end to the day of exploring. This place truly felt like a home away from home, and the warmth and generosity of the hosts made a lasting impression. We’ll definitely be recommending it to friends and family – and we hope to return ourselves someday!

From the moment we arrived the tranquility and calmness of the home was such a welcoming place. The hosts are kind & generous and have created an environment that feels so homey with exceptional touches like a sauna, jacuzzi, fire place, waffle makers, piano, complementary laundry facilities, etc. You share the house with other guests and we were fortunate to meet some very lovely travellers.

Very nice landlords, everything you need, you can bake your own fresh waffles. There's nothing to complain.

The guesthouse was cozy and we loved the carefully decorated things in the house. The hosts Palina and Hördur were very friendly and very obliging. We absolutely enjoyed staying at Tunfifill guesthouse.

We loved the house, it had everything we wanted and MORE and the bed was very comfortable, bathrooms and kitchen had everything we needed and was so wan and pretty. The hosts were incredibly gracious and accommodating. We hope to be back soon!

Nothing, it was perfect!

It was simply perfect. The house is beautiful, the hot tub and sauna a dream, the bed extra comfortable, the host super friendly, the common room full of books and tips, the kitchen fully equipped. Can’t ask for more:)

Beautiful, comfortable, exceptional. So many resources to help plan travel or to relax. I only had two nights there and wish I had much more.

The downside was I had to leave

More than we could have ever ask for!

We had trouble on the road and were a bit late with the check-in but Pálína was extremely welcoming and understanding. The house is very-well equipped and really cozy. There was also homemade rhubarb jam which was very tasty. Two of us managed to finish one whole jar in one evening!

The house was welcoming, warm and so spacious, and the owners have thought of everything. The hot tub and sauna were highlights. Lovely bathrooms, open plan sitting areas, and an enviable tea station! Nothing negative to report, and in a lovely and quiet area. So relaxing and peaceful; perfect for a recharge part way through a tour of the Iceland ring road.

Nothing to not like. Wonderful place

Second time in this house - and not the last time, i am sure. one oft the most nice houses and host-families we´ve ever had in Iceland!

This is the best guesthouse I have ever seen! It has basically everything one can think of and more! Lovely hosts and it feels like coming home. The sauna and hot pot are amazing and the area is quiet and nice. We were unfortunately only one night but this is the perfect location for a longer stay.

Everything about this home was amazing and truly a relaxing environment. The house is huge with plenty of space for everyone to breathe. Plus there was a very fancy coffee maker and waffle maker which was such a nice treat. My only regret is that we didn't stay here longer as we did an overnight on the way to Akureyri. You MUST stay here. Its simply a wonder home.

Everything was perfect!

We loved everything about Túnfífill Guesthouse. It has all you need to feel home right away - a huge and cozy living room with several sofas, a chimney, a tea station next to it, an extremely well equipped kitchen, cozy and spacious rooms, clean bathrooms, a hot tub and a sauna. Even facilities to wash your clothes. The extra on top are the lovely details. You are welcomed with everything to make waffles and more little surprises I let you discover yourselves. We would move in right away! Thanks to Hórdur and Pálína for this highlight of our Iceland trip.
