We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and both were delicious. Dinner exceeded expectations. We also took a stroll around the property after dinner down a road with some horses, which was lovely. It is a wonderful place to see the Northern Lights. It was everything we were looking for on our one night stay on our journey around the Ring Road.

Nothing much The parking area is at a slight distance from the hotel building, maybe about 100 feet away, but that is not a big issue.

This is a nice, well-appointed hotel and is located in a very quiet area about 15 to 20 minutes away from the main road/highway. It is located in the middle of expansive open fields and is in a beautiful location. At night, there is hardly any light pollution, being in a remote location, and this is helpful to see the Northern Lights (we missed seeing it here, though!) The room was adequately sized. The view was nice. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was neat and had clean towels and adequate toiletries. There were adequate plug points and lights. The restaurant was nice. Breakfast was nice and sumptuous. There is adequate parking space available.

Spa- I haven't got a massage, so I cannot say anything about that, but the spa that was supposed to be free, wasn't free, they were charging 3000 kr per person, if the outdoor jacuzzi was open. There were 2 saunas in there and no designated cold plunge or shower. Nothing, just sweat in there and goodbye. We were there in the evening, jars of water were empty, so I ended up going to the toilet to fill my bottle.

Nothing I did not like.

A great hotel in the middle of nowhere which I liked. Nice architecture and the really nice that it had a gym and a little spa. The hot tub outside was super cozy. I really liked the place and will 100% recommend for a nice stay. There are some sited like waterfalls to look at close by. My husband needed a gluten free dinner and breakfast and that was done with no problem. Perfect.

Our family wanted to go to Landmannalaugar, and Landhotel is probably the best hotel closest to it, and they are one of the few hotels in Iceland that provide family suites that can comfortably accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids. The price is reasonable even in the peak season. The staff are super nice and helpful. The food is high quality.

Another wonderful stay at Landhotel! The staff members are terrific! Shoutouts to Adele, Adam, Tomas and Petr! These staff members are friendly and will go out of their way to make the stay comfortable and make you feel like you’re at home. Amazing housekeeping staff. The rooms and common areas are so clean! Tindur is exceptional for dinner! We had the most fabulous meals and the best waiter, ever (Tomas)! We can’t wait to get back to Landhotel!!

Beautiful, clean room. Every staff member we interacted with were wonderful, especially Adele at the front desk and Tomas in the restaurant. This hotel is top notch and we decided to book another stay here towards the end of our trip because we loved it so much! The dinner was fabulous! We enjoyed every part of it from the homemade bread to the delicious main courses to the incredible desserts!!

It was really hot in the room - it was warm outside and no ac ! And also would have loved to be able to buy some easy food or snack when coming in late and the kitchen is closed.

This is a beautiful property with spacious rooms, a gorgeous lobby and a restaurant with delicious food and vegetarian options! There’s also a hot tub in a bubble that was super cool! It’s in the middle of nowhere, but that’s a part of the appeal!

I had a lovely stay at Landhotel. The receptionist was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful with my questions and requests. The on-site restaurant, Tindur, was a real highlight—especially the smoked lamb carpaccio and Atlantic wolffish, both of which were outstanding. My room looked out over the rolling, grassy hills of the South Coast of Iceland. That evening, just before bed, a soft fog settled over the landscape under the Midnight Sun—it was quiet and almost otherworldly. The following morning, I went to the dining area again to enjoy a kingly breakfast.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Staff were super nice and helpful and the overall vibe of the hotel was really nice because it felt quite remote. Room was comfortable and great size and bathroom was modern and well designed. Would recommend!
