Just a note when booking, the double bed listed on booking.com is actually two single beds pushed together with separate bedding. We enquired about this at reception as the room booked had a double bed not twin singles however we were told the two singles pushed together is considered a double bed.

The overall accomodation was great especially for the price in comparison to other accomodation in iceland. The included meal for breakfast was also good value for money and they assisted with dietary requirements. The facilities were very clean and room size was very large. Shower pressure was also amazing! The owner and the majority of the staff were lovely also. Would definitely come back and recommend to others!

There’s no bathroom in the second floor where most of the rooms are located.

Breakfast is delicious. They have sauna and hot tub overlooking the fields, but we did not get the chance to try it.

Absolutely loved the breakfast area! It’s beautifully designed with a sleek and modern look. The breakfast itself was delicious, everything was fresh and flavorful. We weren’t even expecting breakfast to be included, so it was such a pleasant surprise. A perfect place to stay. I’d stay here again! The staff was also very friendly.

The place was exceptional, the best hostel we stayed in in Iceland and, in general, anywhere we went in last years. The common areas were great, spacious and beautiful. Everything very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was ok.

The room was small but enough for just sleep. We spent most of our time in the shared dining/living area, thus not matter much.

Modern and beautiful decor. Comfortable dining/living area. After I booked, I found out that the guesthouse offers breakfast during summer months, which was a big bonus. Breakfast had good varieties of choices and yummy. We did not use sauna/hot tub but it looked awesome- having beautiful views.

No laundry facilities and no refrigerators in the room. We had no way to store cold stuff or make ice for the cooler. Staff could not provide us with ice either. Could always use more sleeping pillows and a fan in the room.

Clean and modern. We’re surprised to get a small breakfast before we left. The place was quiet and out on a country farm where you could interact with chickens and horses. Also had a hot tub and sauna available. Our group of 4 stayed in one room with 4 beds. The beds in the bathroom were fine, but there was not really any other space for luggage or humans to exist. It worked well for one night, but we would’ve struggled had we needed to stay longer.

Everything was perfect

Karuna is the best guesthouse we've been in Iceland. The room is beautiful and very large; the toilet is large too and warm. Common areas are beautiful and spacious, probably the kitchen is not very large but it is not an issue. The breakfast was very nice, just like other breakfasts we had in Iceland. Just outside our room, there were a hot tub and a beautiful sauna (60-70°C)

Very clean and cosy apartment situated in a very beautiful location. The Breakfast is complimentary which was more than expected. The homemade cinnamon cake was very delicious 😋. A well-equipped kitchen helps you to cook basic food which we were very glad about. We used the sauna and hot tub with a beautiful view of the mountains ⛰️. Thank you for everything.

We highly recommend this guesthouse! It is clean, modern, cozy and our room was very large. The kitchen for general use is well equipped. The dining area is also large enough for everyone so that you can be alone in peace. The guesthouse has a sauna and a hot tub. Perfect for relaxing after a long day.

The kitchen could become really crowded in the morning and at the evening, which made preparing food difficult. There was no internet after a power cut.

The atmosphere was very relaxing. It was close to nature, which made it really special. The common space and the kitchen were very good. The rooms were small but clean and convenient. The hot tub and the sauna were a nice bonus. Coffee and tea were free.

Karuna Guesthouse was one of the most beautiful spots where I did spend the night. I got very lucky by choosing a double bed room in off season and got a whole studio icluding own bathroom! for myself, which I didn't expect to get. The kitchen was very clean and you got everything you need for cooking/cleaning/separating your garbage. The dining/breakfast/chill out area in the house was awesome and had a modern spacious design, you got a panoramic view into the night sky with big big windows. There was a hot tub and sauna for free. Couldn't be more happy with all this!
