No hot water for shower. asked the stuff, the women said she didn’t know about that kind of things, a man told us to wait for 30mins, but no even warm water available until midnight. Bad liar. And the curtains in my room won’t cover all windows that sucks

The outside needs some serious exterior upgrades.

The inside was clean however and breakfast was good. The inside rooms need some pics or decorations to make it not look so institutional.

The structure furniture is quite outdated, although essential. We had dinner at the hotel, i would say not among the best ones considering peers. Price/value of the structure below the average considering the other farm/hotels we have been during the ring road trip.

Definitely the waffles in the buffet breakfast, only place where we found the machine to do them. Even if we did not have private bathroom, the structure has a good ratio of common ones / people, so that it feels like it is almost private. Common bathrooms are ample and well cleaned. Staff is very kind and helpful. Billiard table and hotel hall open until late provide some activity in the long lonely nights in the midst of icelandic solitude.

Room and common areas were very cold. Needed a bath mat as the bathroom was very small and when showering it splashed all over floor. No one wants wet socks and we only had so many towels for personal use.

It was a lovely location just off Highway 1 and close to Hvitserjur attraction. The mountains and horse farm next door were beautiful The food, especially breakfast and the coffee were wonderful..

WiFi was not good, although it was essential for us. The beds were uncomfortable and made noise when you move. Breakfast served a little bit late than 7am.

Great location on our way to the Hvitserkur. Nice and friendly staff, they let us to check in earlier. Delicious dinner.

Nothing to complain about. It was near the sightseeing area. Doesn’t have all lot of food options especially for Vegans because is a little far from the town.

It looks like it could be an abandoned building a bit from the outside. The doors are very difficult to lock and unlock. It is far down a dirt road.

The checkin was smooth and the dinner was good! The horses wandered up just outside the window of the dining room while we had tea both at night and in the morning.

The access roads are not tarred. Though the road is not F labelled. Wish there was a guest kitchen

We asked for lactose free breakfast and it was amazing! They have made waffle dough with oat milk and baked separate bread just for us. The staff was really nice. Room was basic, we did sleep well.

It’s a curious place!… a hostel-hotel (most rooms have use of a communal bathroom) that is pretty tired looking. The main room (“bar”, dining area, pool table) feels a bit like a cavernous church hall. We were the only people staying (and the owners live separately in a small house) so it felt a bit odd - especially when we turned up to an empty place and had to phone so someone came over. Check in is not until 5pm (but they came to let us in when we arrived at 3.45). Compared to other places we stayed in Nth Iceland this felt expensive for the standard of accommodation.

The two guys that run this place have apparently taken it on in the last couple of years and are very enthusiastic, friendly and helpful. There is a pool table in the main “hall” area. And the breakfast was delicious (there’s a waffle maker!) Dinner can also be provided but you need to give 48hrs notice

Hotel is quite tired, haven't seen a renovation from 90s. Radiators were not the warmest.

The breakfast was fine, ability to make your own waffle was great. There is no kitchen per se, but you can boil water in a kettle in the breakfast area.

The hotel has so much potential and would require reinvestment and refurbishing as it is getting very old. No diner.

Amazing location, we did a drive after arriving at the hotel and we saw so many birds, then seals and finally a whale and a wonderful sunset!

No tea/coffee making facilities other than at breakfast time. During breakfast, the hot water to make tea was in a kettle which had been boiled earlier. So was not as hot as I would have liked my tea.

We were given -1 floor and it had unpleasant smell. The road to reach the hotel is in bad shape (country road style). The car become absolutely covered with mad when we reached the hotel

I was interested to photograph the rock. The nearest hotel was booked and this was the 2nd close to it. No problem to reach it from hotel by car. The stuff was helpful and nice
