Just a couple of small things to note: the TV wasn’t working during our stay, and we weren’t prepared for the sulfur smell from the hot tap water—perhaps a quick heads-up to future guests would help.

We had a lovely stay in this nice and clean apartment, very lightful, good position, cozy and super-soft beds. Useful instructions for sofa-bed, many kitchen tools.

The images are somewhat misleading - there is a lot of development on the hill in front, so the views aren't as good. The volcanic smog, but that was just bad luck! (and would have spoiled the view anyway.) Could do with a bit more crockery, e.g. beer glasses, and kitchen basics like salt and pepper.

A very spacious and well equipped apartment with a full kitchen. Helpful host - her son helped fix the TV very quickly.

The house is on a hill in Hvammastangi with other independent houses nearby. It has a comfortable living room with an open kitchen, the bedroom and the bathroom. It was clean and the kitchen had the necessary utensils. The hostess informed us that there is a small river near the house (on the path as we leave the house on the left). It was a very nice walk. It also has a small wooden bridge. The path ends above the village and takes you near an area where there were horses. It is worth the walk. The village also has a wonderful restaurant with very good food.

The floor heating in the house would be helpful for travelers who visits in winter, but it takes time to cool down.

I could see the bay on the side window. There was a trail along a creek to the small town. I liked the separate bedroom with 2 twin beds, also the sofa can be converted to a bed. Fyi, the fridge was right size, but it doesn't have a freezer compartment.

We stayed here as a family of three adults. Very nice cottage on a hill with view on the sea, car can be parked directly next to the Cottage. Contactless Check-In, excellently organized with a message giving all the details needed in advance. Cottage is spacious, has very good opportunities for storage, a very well equipped kitchen also including a microwave oven, a water cooker and Coffee machine. Two beds in separate sleeping room and a sleeping sofa, well equipped bathroom with easily accessible shower and excellent floor hearing. Everything very clean and very nice contact with the owner.

Slight foul smell from drains, which maybe the sewage or could even be the sulfur in the water.

No human interaction for check-in or check-out! Freshly fitted property or at least looked like it, with the development having few other properties that were being built/fitted out. Huge living space in our 1 bed property, with a massive sofa-bed that served as the third bed for our daughter. Kitchen was extremely well fitted out with appliances, coffee machine with powder, microwave, fridge etc. and a spare/utility room that had a couple of clotheslines for drying clothes?? Whole property was underfloor heated, with temperature controls available for comfort. Parking was right next to the property.

I like the location, but the picture of the neighborhood is outdated—there are more buildings around now. I appreciate the resting area and the drying room, as well as the kind of storage that's accessible to guests. Very useful, especially on a rainy island.

While our bedroom was really comfortable, the sofa bed was partially broken and our friends who slept there had to find a way to hold it together so they can sleep. It was also an uncomfortable experience for them.

The location was amazing, so enjoyable to have a meal indoors and watch the sunset. Apartment was really well equipped and clean. One of my favorite places along our trip especially location wise.

We did not get an email with a code to the key box before arrival but the host sorted it out after a phone call. Also, the tap water smelled a bit of sulfur but it wasn't extremely bad.

Very nice apartment with enough space for 3 people. It has all amenities needed to cook meals. It is very warm and has really good views.

We were camping and driving around the Ring Road, we didn't have any intention to stay in anything but a campsite but after a really long drive decided on something with more comfort. Very happy with our stay, it was clean and comfortable and exactly what we needed after busy days and long travel. Lovely view and drove a little to see the seals at Illugastadir which was a lovely added bonus. Located in a lovely area, would recommended and stay here again.

Could use a wardrobe and more storing space.

Apartments in a duplex are soundproof, so young kids wont bother the neighbours. The location is good, peaceful, and yet in short walking distance to Town, with good outdoor walking opportunities.
