Its location in Húsavík is awesome. A very close walk to everything. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room had a great view of the ocean and Harbor.

Its a great place bang in the middle of Husavik, a few minutes walk from almost everywhere you would want to go in this small town. very clean and modern with decent sized rooms and friendly helpful staff.

The breakfast was a disaster. We didn't order breakfast but decided to have one. It costs 3000 ISK for a person. And it was absolutely bad. Avoid. I was pissed off. If not this, this review would have all stars

Breakfasts pretty basic and the restaurant is some kind of old fashioned with big round tables, looks very odd, no warm feeling there, you want to leave as soon as you can.

The room was near the lobby which had a lot of lounging areas. We stayed on a Saturday night and there were a lot of people in the lounging areas of the lobby imbibing. So it was a little loud. Also the curtains in the room didn’t quite cover the entirety of the windows, so it was lighter in the room than it should be for sleeping.

The location was great. The room was spacious. The shower was great. The staff was wonderful. The breakfast was outstanding. There was a fridge in the room.

Carpet and dark halls are drab, breakfast room is like a generic conference room and seemed unorganized. Many tour groups stay here, which takes away from feeling relaxing for couples or small families traveling independently.

Fosshotel Husavik is very centrally located for walking to the harbor and it’s not a far walk to GeoSea, maybe 1/4 mile. The hotel caters to lots of big bus tours so our first morning breakfast seemed chaotic and breakfast area felt like a generic conference room with large circular tables. This is not appealing when you’re not part of a tour group. The hotel is in need of a facelift for sure. The carpet has exceeded its life. For the price they are charging, this hotel chain needs to put some money back into bringing the hotel up to the level Foss Hotel Glacier Lagoon in the south is at.

We were in the older building which was run down compared to the main hotel. From the inside you wouldn't know it was the same hotel. (Images on booking.com didn't show this.) Three staff working at breakfast seemed overkill for the amount of guests having breakfast, also it was in a large conference room style so it had a strange layout.
