The hotel and services are not worth the price in general. You pay only for the location which is great.

The location is unique. A must to visit this wonderful remote area. The breakfast in the main building is good (if you have a room in the annex, go have breakfast in the main building, it is way better as the one in the annex)

A bit outdated hotel

Close to Landmannalaugar. If you approach from the west, the hotel is easily reachable. Ranger on site to give advice regarding road conditions. Good breakfast.

The room and bathroom were rather on the small side.

A very convenient place to rest after a day’s hike at Landmannalaugar. There is even a gas station in front of the hotel. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Very nice of the hotel to provide Blue Lagoon toiletries in the bathroom. The breakfast buffet was great with a good selection.

What was coming as bit bitter taste is the service incl. restaurant. The guys were very nice and helpful but they were not speaking islandic which was creating some difficulties to resolve the problem with gas station payments, and they were not sufficient to serve quite sizeable fascility. The service in the restaurant was looooooong (and far beyond longer average waiting times of Iceland), delivering wrong set in the end. Breakfast came even worse - tables not cleaned, serving dishes not replenished, missing milk, hot water etc. and lost guests hunting for service guys to get something to eat.

The hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere - last gas station before LML, so given peculiarities of the location the stay was basic but decent. The room was veeeeeeeeery tiny for 4 of us, but clean and suggested base fasclities for the travelers post the hike.

However, the price is very high for such a hotel (tiny rooms and bathrooms) compared to other countries we visit, but this is Iceland and a remote location, so it’s understood. Especially when you know the hut in Langmannalaugar without breakfast and a shower is ca the same price.

Great location for going to Langmannalaugar, very nice staff and they have a ranger on site that can help with hiking suggestions. Also, amazing breakfast for a simple hotel like that, the best in that range so far on Iceland.

Breakfast They had fried bacon and not scrambled eggs. When I asked what you eat bacon with they said with pancakes what’s very strange, because most hotels serve bacon with scrambled eggs.

The family room was really small. The restaurant had run out of fish and chips (one of the main recommendations for coming to stay at this place). You had to wait 15mins between showers because of the small water tank and the bathroom was tiny (there were other showers available).

The rooms were clean. The staff friendly and restaurant was nice. We should have researched more because there is not a lot to do there unless you plan to go off track or on F- roads. We did a nice walk from the accommodation though and had a pleasant stay. They had a pool table which occupied the children in the evening. They had an area to relax in and also a sauna.

Property was nicely located in the southern highlands (before the road closures). Plenty of parking. We had lovely spacious rooms with small but functional private bathrooms. Great big windows that allowed you to look out onto the amazing landscape. Staff were efficient and friendly. Breakfast was fine. We also had a tasty dinner and whilst expensive it was good and very generous portions. We also had some great views of the northern lights.

The only thing that bothered us a bit was that when we checked in, the guy in the reception was friendly at first, but then, after he realized we were from Israel, his attitude became cold and he answered our questions briefly.

Everything was good-the location, the cleanliness, and the food was delicious.

Wall separating WC and room was made of glass. Hot water from boiler lasted 7-10 min then had to wait for 15 min to re-heat.

Prices, small room, cold breakfast.

Perfectly localized hostel with separate rooms with small bathrooms. Does not look like a hotel. Prices are very high. Room was small, but warm, with very small bathroom, actually inside the room. Breakfast was cold, not very tasty, staff - very nice people. The diner at the restaurant was very good but expensive. The only thing very important to mention is the localization - it is only an hour from Landmannalaugar - so very close to the beatiful mountains ! So if You want to be in parking Landma early - this is the only choice :)

The staff could have been friendlier. Stiff attitude. They responded to us strange when we arrived 3 minutes early to the start of their dinner time slot. Also there were no towels left in front of the sauna right after dinner. They wouldnt restock the drinks and bathrobes at sauna either. Dinner prices are a bit steep for the portion you get. But that seems to be Iceland typical.

The location was great for our trip to landmannalaugar the next day. Breakfast was great.. there was much to choose from.. including bacon. Beds were comfy. Rooms cosy and we had our own bathroom. Heater was also sufficient.

The location was peaceful and quiet and was perfect for access to Landmannalaugar and the Valley of Tears. Breakfast was included and was wonderful.
