Great srop right of route 1. The breakfast was good too and they were kind enough to set it out early for us. The most expensive of our stays in Iceland but so close to lots of sights and the big Glacier, it makes sense.

Absolutely loved this apartment in the middle of nature — it was clean, beautifully designed, and offered stunning view. If you visit in winter and the sky is clear, you have a real chance to see the Northern Lights right from the property, which was magical. The locals were very friendly and welcoming. I’m definitely coming back!

Shared Kitchen was very simple, no cooking facilities, small shared area. Walls were very thin.

Excellent location on way to Jokulsarlon. Clean, nice common area. We are family of four and booked 2 double rooms with private bathroom (due to availability) so was more expensive. No kitchen, but nice microwave, shared minifridge, coffee in shared common area. Staff were helpful and packed our breakfast to go as we left early

There was only one window that opened in our room so it was very warm & stuffy at night.

There should be a bit more kitchen utensils like bowls and cutlery considering the number of rooms. Fridge space could be improved too. It’s hard to work on this but sound isolation could be better. We understand this is hard to manage but one morning we did get woken up very early because of kids on the floor above. We could also hear the snoring of the people in the room next to us. We still feel like the benefits far outweigh the cons and that this was a pleasant stay!

The staff was very welcoming, it was nice to check in at a reception rather than by ourselves. They were also very resourceful whenever we needed help. Our room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was mostly continental but there was also this waffle maker which was a nice touch.

No food option at the site, had to drive approx 10 KM to get some groceries and food. Expecting one double and one single bed for the family instead of 3 single beds. Also some instant coffee or tea with milk can be helpful.

Would like breakfast to start at least at 7:30.

Very clean, private toilet, bathroom for only three rooms, so didn’t have to queue to use it. Breakfast was a great addition with a very good selection and waffles were the cherry on the top! Loved being able to take breakfast to go when we had early departure.

The absence of a camp kitchen was the only downfall...having access to only a microwave and kettle was not enough for us

Really cosy with a wonderful clean and fresh decor. We appreciated the couch and tv...it'd been a long time without a lounge area.

Overall everything was fine. There were few sockets to plug our electronic devices. We shared the shower with 2 other rooms, the shower itself was big but there weren’t places where to put clothes so we had to run with only our towels on to our room, and the corridor was really cold since our room was next to the entrance.

The self service check-in and out were very convenient. Our room was small but clean, though we couldn’t open our luggage very well. The beds were separated, which is very common in Iceland. Fresh towels, sheets, blankets and hairdryer were provided by the host. I appreciated we had a private toilet in our room, which wasn’t very big but was very clean and had a big mirror as well. The breakfast was included and offered a wide variety of food, salty and sweet, we liked it very much. Thanks :)

The walls are incredibly thin so there is a lot of noise (29 rooms in 1 building). There is no stove.

The location is quite nice because it's near the Vatnajökull. It is quite cosy and nice looking. There are fridge, microwave, tea kettle and sink.

Nothing, really. It’s a guest house, not the Ritz. I liked it very much.

Well located for the area. It offered excellent amenities for a guest house: I had my own bathroom! Room was more spacious, nice big common areas. The breakfast offered a bit more variety than most guest house. All in all, at the top of my guest house experience in Iceland. The horses in the nearby paddock will be particularly friendly if you pull some nice grass for them from outside the fence.

The room was tiny, and shower has to be share.

Friedly staff. A clean place it has electric kettle, microwave, plates, mugs, teas and other amenities in a common area. Nice breakfast as well.
