The wooden stairs to our cottage need renovation as they were more than wiggly. The sink plumbing in the bathroom was leaking, but that can be fixed easily. The mattress in my room was a bit too soft.

Family friendly place located next to the ring road. Cottages are a bit dated, but they offer all you need. We stayed one night, and for that purpose, it was a good value. Kids loved sleeping in the attic.

There were countless flies inside the house. Although they did not bite, it was really related to a hygiene problem.

We like the environment and the building. We have a comfortable stay.

We were placed in a newly renovated house, which worked really well for our family of four. We had plenty of room to enjoy.

The kitchen and bathroom are small and hot water runs out quickly. And we got bug bites while staying there.

The bathroom was a bit too small. The bedroom upstairs was too hot and the fact that the air conditioning temperature cannot be modified did not help with managing the temperature.

We enjoyed the location, the cottage and the green around. It was nice having the patio. Checking in was fast and the staff was polite.

Wifi did not work at all during whole stay and the bathroom had a foul smell. If you kept the bathroom door openned it filled the room.

The cottage was very cozy, warm and easy to find. It was clean and the beds were very comfortable.

There is very limited storage in this cottage. It would have been really helpful to have at least clothing hooks on the walls or back of the doors in the downstairs bedrooms and bathroom. There is also space for at least a few narrow shelves in the bedrooms, bathroom and entry way which would make life much easier. The only space for luggage currently is under the beds and the suitcases only fit once they were fully opened. There were midges at night. We had bug spray and anti-itch cream with us. This was not unexpected as the cottages are in a beautiful grassy area but it is something to keep in mind. It would also have been nice to be able to pop over to the guest house in the morning for just a coffee rather than a full breakfast but there are other options just down the road so this would definitely not be a deal breaker!

The location of this cottage was perfect for us. It was easy to find and no problems with parking. The kitchen and bathroom looked to have been newly renovated. Though we didn't prepare meals during our stay, there were more than enough plates, pots and pans, glasses, etc. if we had chosen to do so. The furniture in the main room also seemed brand new. The couches were comfy and we'd loved having a place where we could sit together in the evening. There were also good black-out shades for sleeping. The hair dryer in the cottage was not working - I went to reception and it was promptly replaced - thank you!

The beds for seniors were uncomfortable. The lower bunks are not really wide enough to fit two adults. It was unusually hot during our stay and we didn’t feel the air conditioner was working. Opening the windows let in a lot of the small flies.

Location for travelling the ring road. Easy to find. The cottage was clean and exactly as shown. Kitchen was well equipped. Front deck looked very inviting but unfortunately we were unable to use because of the midges.

We arrived late, with no phone number, and couldn’t get into our cabin because we did know which one it was. We were not sent an email with instructions, as the booking said we would be. We had to knock on someone’s door who had a phone, but the office did not pick up. Fortunately the person had a way to text the office staff who told us which cabin to go to. It was not a great start, but once settled in we loved the place. The cabin was very hot, but the when requested, the staff could use an app to turn the heat down.

Very quiet area with cute cabins. Nice and dark, away from the city so it was an amazing place to see the northern lights.

The bathroom is a bit old. The bigger beds are 1.5 person beds, i.e. on the smaller side and not that suitable for couples. The air conditioning is controlled centrally, you cannot change the temperature and you cannot turn it on or off (and it was still on the colder side in the house).

Cute cottage, well equipped kitchen, space to sit down to eat and chill. Separate rooms - our son loved the bunk bed. The staff was nice and helpful

Just a couple of small suggestions. The kitchen is useful, but there’s no hood. Also, with only one bathroom for six people, it was a little tough to manage—something to note for groups like ours.

This place turned out to be better than I expected—The cottage was perfect for our group of six, with bunk beds that gave it a fun, laid-back feel. It’s a great pit stop between long drives, ideally located near Foss á Síðu and Fossálar Waterfall, and not too far from Fjaðrárgljúfur or the Gönguleið um Eldhraun moss field. Being so close to these amazing spots made exploring Iceland’s south coast easy and enjoyable—a solid base for our road trip!

Illumination was not great, the bathroom barely had any light, specially when the shower curtain was pulled all the way through. The sound proofing from one room to the other was terrible, we could hear every time someone moved or walked around the house. The detergent dispenser did not work that well, but that wasn’t as imperative as the rest.

The cottage was cozy, had a nice and lovely taste to it. The location was right where we needed to be, and the deck was also nice
