Amazingly beautiful remote location. The prettiest place we stayed in Iceland, and that is saying a lot. The lodging is a cute a-frame with room for a big family to sleep and full kitchen facilities. Gorgeous Icelandic horses roaming nearby!

The kitchen and bathroom are quite old so could do with an update, or at least a deeper clean, the bathroom sink and shower tray were heavily stained from hard water I assume, but the general cleanliness of the place was good!

The accomodation is a bit old and in days with strong wind it creaks a bit. Also it is an A-frame with a very narrow and steep stair to the upper floor, would not recommend for older guests

Unbelieavable northern lights! It was amazing to watch. There was also a lovely tiny cat (Rose I believe) who kept us entertained. Very quaint. Staff very nice also

Everything was functional, but the amenities are a bit dated. An update of some could be something to consider.

The view, the landscape and the way how the house fits in it. We feel that we are in a postcard. It's a hantingly beautiful place and house. The host is so nice, she welcomed us so well.

The host does not speak English so that was a bit challenging. Her daughter was able to take our payment later in the evening.

The house was large and comfortable. It had a great refrigerator and was stocked enough to be able to do some cooking. The bed was comfortable and the setting was amazing! We would stay there again.

The place was nice and big on a peaceful and charming location. After traveling in Iceland for a week and always doing the self check in we were really happy to meet our hostess. She was very kind in answering all our questions about Iceland and she also showed us their horses when we asked so that was really nice.

As stated in other reviews the place is outdated (bathroom definitely needs a makeover) and the upstairs is very uncomfortable to reach with luggage. The downstairs bedroom is cramped with really no place to leave your stuff (the closets are locked) - but what literally chased us away (and hence made us write this review) is that the place wasn’t tidy. After 2 nights we all had bites from bedbugs. We packed and left!

Gorgeous house in the middle of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. The owner was very communicative and met us immediately on arrival with the keys. The house was clean with a well-stocked kitchen. Great place to see the northern lights. We would definitely come back!

I wouldn’t know now to rate the property I booked because the host had us stay in a second location the day of check in. When we arrived at the home another car pulled in at the same time as us claiming the had also booked the property. When I called the host she told me that “last minute” something had gone wrong with the toilet and we wouldn’t be able to stay there because the plumbing needed fixed. I asked her why there was another car there to check in and she said it was maintenance… but in fact it was another family from Minnesota that booked the house on AirBnB. Then she had her elderly mother show us to the other property which is not listed on booking.com and was a totally different experience than what we planned for and paid for.

We learnt on the day that the chalet I had reserved was not available and we were taken to another smaller, less well-equipped cabin15 mins away. The hot tub was empty. There was no Wi-Fi.

It was in a remote calm setting close to the sea with good views.
