For a camping site the facilities are nice.

It's not a bad place, and if you are looking for camping style accommodation it is even quite nice. But the value for money is the worst we have encountered not only in Iceland but anywhere in the world! You get a bare-bones room that is not much bigger than a closet, with 2 bunk beds, and for that, you pay over 300 USD a night!!

Great location right next to a lava field. Decent kitchen and dining area.

Hard to find reception. The directions should be to the reception not the actual building you stay in. We weren’t the only ones confused as to where to get the key. Rooms were hot. Ours right next to the kitchen was quite noisy.

Dinning room view in lava fields was cozy

Poor kitchen equipment. No small cereal bowls, no sponges to wash up, only 2 kitchen towels for everybody, thus no possibility to clean the kitchen. Very small family room.

The kitchen is really big and good equipped. Location is good, near Myvatn lake.

Rooms are really small. We paid for 5 people but got only 4 linens - if we wanted one more we would need to pay 3500ISK and i don’t really understand why.

Centrally located, clean, near Hveri and Lake myvatn with ample tours nearby. Also excellent value for price.

Some guests were loud later in the night, but this is no fault of the hostel.

small cozy cottage with small kitchen fecility and toilet. Outside small bathroom with towel provided on request. Good for budget accommodation to sleep after some activity.

Extractor fan in toilet would be very useful if more than one person staying.

Bunk beds were comfortable; location was excellent.

Rooms were a bit cramped. It is a very busy place so a bit loud.

We stayed here for one night as a family of four and booked a private four-bed room. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was nice and clean, making our stay pleasant. We didn’t realize ahead of time that there was an extra charge for sheets and blankets, so we didn’t pay for them—but the heater in the room worked so well that we didn’t really need blankets anyway. The kitchen is a bit small and only has two stoves, so it did get a little crowded at dinnertime, but it was still manageable. It’s equipped with everything you need for cooking, and there’s only one fridge, which can get crowded, too. That said, there are enough tables for everyone, and the dining area is lovely with windows all around. You just have to be a little patient and wait for your turn to use the stove. Overall, it was good value for what we paid and a pleasant stay. We would definitely recommend it to other travelers.
