The house is very comfortable, but missing some important items in the kitchen. No freezer, no way to have ice, no oven mitts, in need of some new pans.

Great little house with a fun short hike for incredible views. The house is located on acute horse farm over lake. Very relaxing place but also a cute town for dinner or drinks nearby.

The house is very spacious and the view of the living room is excellent. I especially like the kitchen area which is well equipped and comfortable. The bedroom is clean and tidy with nice bathroom. Will recommend to friends for Iceland trip.

Serene setting on the bank of the calm sea, with some historic value for the locals.Apartment was very spacious, beds very comfortable and views just wonderful. The host was wonderful accepting withoutextra charge to rebook our stay by one day (i made a mistake in the dates of the original booking - very, very nice gesture. All the facilities were in pristine condition, we really enjoyed our stay.

I wish we knew better and stayed longer. It’s about one hour from some sites so we would have stayed an extra day and tacked on the peninsula travel.

At the foot of Hellefell mountain where you can make wishes! Lots of tourists come by for the hike and the church which makes for good people watching. We absolutely loved seeing the inquisitive sheep and horses up close. And the two farm dogs were so friendly and lovable!

Understand when you book that even if you rent the whole house you are really just renting some bedrooms. If you are traveling with four people but you require three bedrooms because co-sleeping is not an option you must state this up front as only two bedrooms will be unlocked when you arrive. This was ultimately resolved and property owner made things right but it was tense for a while.

Just a heads up, the closest shop to the place is around 7 minutes by drive to Stykisholmur. There is a Bonus there working until 19:00. Obviously, this has nothing to do with the owners, more of a friendly reminder.

An absolutely amazing scenery. Big living room with superb look on the whole area. Quiet as a whistle. The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary cutlery should you want to cook something. A coffee machine with coffee is also there. WiFi and Smart TV present with RakutenTV for channels. Spacey bathroom. Bonus points: sheep, horses, a cat that will want to get inside the house to greet you and a lovely black dog that will want your snuggles in the morning :D

We needed a warm place to be, and the house was really warm, with a well stocked kitchen, a living room with a view that was amazing. The woman who owned the house greeted us and was very friendly. There was a hike next to the house going up the mountain looking out over the whole area. It was very clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable.
