We had a superior room which was very large and had everything one would want including a nice view directly over the harbour. The evening meal in the restaurant was superb.

The breakfast in comparison to the previous seven hotels was a bit disappointing.

Great location and very courteous staff! A minute away from a hot spring and in walking distance from the whale watching tours. The room is not very spacious, but sleeps three person comfortably. The breakfast is plenty and hearty, providing vegetarian and vegan options as well. The restaurant and bar is right next to it. There's not much food variety, but there are plenty restaurants in walking distance and it's good enough if you want to enjoy a drink rather than have a full dinner. The neighbourhood is quiet and the view is lovely.

My only qualm is that once again there was virtually no places to put away our clothes. I would definitely come back for a short stay, but for a longer stay it's inconvenient.

Huge room, and great bathroom! Great veiw of the bay and ocean. Close to the activities and whale watching trips.

Location! Location! Location! The hotel is perched on top of a hill overlooking the ocean. 6 minutes walk to the harbor with waterfront restaurants and activities. Whale watching, jet skiing and puffin island tours. The hotel also has a bar next door with outdoor seating to enjoy the sunset over the mountains. Amazing view.

Our room window was facing the roof of next door building with therefore no view at all except the roof and almost no sunlight in the room. Breakfast room was very dark as well.

The location is perfect and above the harbor bay. The bed is soft and good to give in to sleep. The reception is very cheerful and enlightening at the end of the day. Recommended level 10 out of 10

The room was next to the next door cafe, so pretty noisy. And the shower was broken.

Rooms on first and second floors smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. It’s in the carpets, etc.

Location is great, everything else is bad, very dated, Wi-Fi is really really bad and breakfast was supposed to start at 7:15 but now it is 8 AM and there’s still no one here, no breakfast !!! Many guests are waiting. I am expecting a substantial refund, this is ridiculous.

There was a bar next door with a Eurovision / exploration museum connected to it that guests could enter free on the festival weekend I was there. The hotel was ideally located for watching the football at Völsungur, whale watching, going to the Geosea baths, and attending the festival. I had Icelandic Lamb soup at the hotel as well as a couple of cocktails. The staff were excellent and very helpful with their knowledge of local facilities and activities.
