The building is older so you can hear the doors open/closing loudly and the floor would creak.

Clean, comfortable bed, cozy bar and sitting room in the lobby. The hot tub looked relaxing although we didn’t take a soak due to the weather. It is located in a central location within walking distance to bars/restaurants. We just happened to be in town during a festival so we got to hear live music.

Our room overlooked a children’s playground at the front of the hotel, so there was a lot of noise outside, even after 10pm.

We loved the retro feel of the room, including the antique radio and furniture. It was refreshing NOT to have a TV in the room. The beds were very comfortable and everywhere was clean.

Nothing! Don’t be put off by the drab exterior, inside is a delight.

Beautiful interior full of gorgeous old furniture and striking art work. Bonus of a hot tub with views of snowy mountains in two directions. Fabulous restaurant with delicious food: the vegetarian tagine was epic.

Having a personal microwave in the room would have been preferable.

Certainly, the location, hot tub, and the hospitality provided by the host.

The mattresses were a bit old, some new firm ones would be an improvement.

Friendly staff - Rashid & his wife were really friendly and helpful for our whole stay. They made us feel very welcome and went out of their way to look after us.

Since is low season it was like a ghost town and there were not many things to do.

The location was super centric. And the town has gorgeous views of Iceland.

The room definitely needed a small fridge. For a small town that doesn't have a lot of restaurants or businesses open later than 7 being able to buy food and store it is quite important. The heating also was not working in our room so it was quite chilly.

Loved the decor and aesthetic of the hotel with vintage furnishings. It was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. We had a room with a shared bathroom and this worked out really well. The bathroom was spacious, clean and only shared with one other single room. It is also in a great location in the town centre and everything is close by on foot. There is a small parking lot outside and parking on the street. I would recommend this hotel I would just say that tourists need to adjust their travel plans to arrive in town at a decent time to ensure they can find a place to eat.

The shower is IN the room which seemed odd. There is a glass partition but the whole place fogs up. I see why it was built this way though so not complaining

Nice hotel right in the middle of town. Nice restaurant and bar area. Only stayed one night but the rooms worked for us. Options were limited so not sure on the value.

The private bathroom was very small and the shower was impossible to use without making a mess and splash water everywhere. Also the fact that it has glass walls all around, including at the toilet, it's a weird choice. (But it was clearly stated at the time of booking, so it wasn't a surprise.) At least there was a private bathroom, other rooms only had a shared one.

Cozy environment and decoration, comfortable beds, good heating, very nice staff. Lots of parking spots nearby. Flexible check in and check out.

Felt like a hostel sometimes as bathrooms were communal.

Nice place, very modern and clean, music room with board games. The FOH staff allowed us to use the hotel washing machine and drier for our clothes as we had been road tripping and couldn’t do it in our previous accommodations. This was a great help! Restaurant food was delicious. Didn’t go in the hot tub but good to have it as a possibility.

The room itself has no ventilation so all the moist stayed on the window by the morning because of the winter, we wasn't able to open windows during the day or for the night.

The Hotel has a lovely vibe and lobby area we have had a very good sleep in their bed. I could recommend to anyone who planning to visit the North in Iceland.

We ordered Panna Cotta with blueberries from the menu. However, we were given Panna Cotta with mango instead. The waitress should ask us if this was acceptable to us, without assuming we would just accept any alternative dessert. Especially when the prices for the meal is at a premium. Wash basin in shower room is too small. Would be better to have a shower screen or curtain to keep rest of shower room floor dry.

Beautiful, old charm décor, furnishings from a distant past. Quiet. Car parking. Central location in town and near harbour. Lovely bar & restaurant. Large bedroom with comfy sofa and beds.
