The quality of the kitchen and dining area was a great surprise, as were the shower facilities (they have proper cubicles). The free coffee was a bonus too!

On the downside, the shower was outside the room. It didn’t really affect our stay, but it should be made clearer when booking. The price also feels way too high for what it offers – although we know this is quite typical in Iceland.

Overall, the guesthouse did the job. The room was comfortable, quiet, and had a nice view from the window. The dining room had everything we needed for cooking and eating, and the place was generally clean and peaceful.

The "privet bathroom" does not include a shower. If I had known this, I would have choose a different room.

We really liked the facility - A good size room, kitchen and spacious dining hall. The owner was very responsive to our request of adding an additional mattress in the room, which really helped us a lot. Since it is very close to Reynisjfara Beach - location is perfect to visit Dyraholaey[Puffin watching] and black sand beach [Basalt column]

Everything was very pleasant

Recently fitted room with modern decor and en-suite toilet, as well as a great view over the bay. Large shared kitchen fully equipped and very quiet atmosphere all in all.

While the shared bathrooms were clean, it was something we were not used to in the past.

The room was nice and spacious with great views. We liked that the guesthouse requested guest to remove shoes before entering room areas. The common area was great for families with lots of space to relax and have family time. The coffee provided within the common area was excellent.

It's too pricy considering the facilities.

This place is very close to the Black Sand Beach, and some rooms even have views of this iconic site right outside the window. The rooms and shared bathrooms are very clean, and the communal kitchen is well-organized. There are ten rooms in total — it’s hard to believe that only one girl from the Catalonia region is keeping everything so spotless. Ten mins' drive to the town centre.

I booked a room with a bathroom but the sink was insanely small and it didn’t have a shower, which I don’t feel was clearly stated and I wouldn’t have expected at this price point. The walls were very thin (which also meant there were quiet hours). Other, more affordable places had many more amenities… including breakfast.

It was clean, in a good location and served the purpose.

outdoor area could be tidier! Everything inside was so well kept/mantained and it would make a big difference to have the outdoor match the indoor

No shower in the room.

Location was great. Out room had a toilet, but no shower. I didn't know the share shower was down the hall.

Rooms were quite small. Only some rooms included bathrooms and none of the rooms came with their own shower.

The wash basin was a bit small so any washing hands or face resulted in small spills outside the wash basin. We also were asked to leave our shoes at the reception which we did.

The room was clean and functional. The kitchen was convenient. The dining area was awesome with great views. It was clean and nicely decorated. The sitting area was very nice too.

You need to drive out to get food. Would be great to have some food available on the premises (cookies, vending machines, instant noodles)

As people leave early in the morning, you can hear everything while they are walking around. Not a good night sleep.

Window in the room is really tiny and it was extremely hot when we arrived and it was imposible to get some fresh cold air inside of the room. Bed were not so comfortable. There is not a single person you will meet during the day and anyone could enter the house. We felt a bit worried during our stay. Also one day there was a family who arrived and it was obvious that only two people had accommodation and the rest (two more people) were using baths, toilets and kitchen and then went to sleep to car.

It is located in a nice area just 10minutes by car from Vik, and very close to the black beach (few minutes drive). Kitchen is well equiped and dining area is really spacious.
