It’s a beautiful farm house with all required facilities . The host was very warm and welcoming . She was knowledgeable about the area and have up some good advice on where to go , where to eat etc . She was sweet and even went extra mile to give some Icelandic berries to the kids . We loved our stay .its in a beautiful location .

The place was cold with an odd heating system that the rooms never got really warm. We were always cold. This was a country house and as such, you have to view it as a country house not a hotel. We felt the descriptions were not quite accurate - a bit exaggerated, frankly. The bathroom was difficult to use as there was absolutely no place to put anything, even to hang a towel. We had to use the floor to put our clothes, toiletries, dry towels, etc. There's also absolutely nothing around here - you are quite isolated - so you have to bring your own food/drink. However, it was very quiet and restful.

The room was well-designed and comfortable. The decor was old-style and provided us with a perfect Icelandic homestay. One of the unique aspects is the personalized atmosphere it provides. Since it's a homestay, it was very calm, and felt like we were at our own home. The next time I visit Iceland, I will definitely stay at this place again.

We LOVED the place and everything. It has been a highlight among our accommodation choices in Iceland. This is an original Icelandic house! We were delighted to be welcomed by the owners dog , the sweet Tawta! The house was warm , big and well equipped.

Some basic things were missing, like salt, oil, papertowel, but for request we got that.

Andrea was very kind, she made home made bread to us, which was very kind. The beds were very comfortable.

We tripped a few times on the unusual raised thresholds leading to several rooms, especially the bathroom. Might be good to paint it white like the others so it can be noticed more easily.

Beautiful location on workings farm. Each room has its own sink. Easy check in. very kind owner. It’s an older home, but gives a real experience on living in Iceland.

In my initial request, I had requested breakfast. By the time of our actually booking the host had forgotten. Fortunately, I was not charged for breakfast.

The place was clean and well maintained. The host was enthusiastic and helpful with suggestions and directions. The room sizes were excellent.

Very easy to find, just off the 1, and a perfect place to break up the journey from the north to the peninsula. Well stocked kitchen in the main house. Warm and comfortable rooms in the small building where we slept.

Shower is weak. Booked and paid for 3 bedrooms but were asked to sleep in 2 bedrooms and 1 locked bedroom. Felt cheated. Take note that washing machine is provided in the cellar but owner charge 1500kr

The accommodation was somewhat rustic and dated and we were lucky as the 4 people in our party were the only guests. If however the other room had been let out to complete strangers then it would have been uncomfortable with only 1 bathroom and a small kitchen and no real private areas except your room (which you would not want to spend all evening in). The TV didn't work and there was no WiFi but there were plenty of games and jigsaw puzzles to keep you occupied if necessary.

Andrea is a lovely host who gave us some very useful information and made us some lovely bread upon our arrival. The accommodation had a really nice communal lounge area in which to sit and relax during the evening. Compared to other Icelandic properties it was reasonable value for money.

We were lucky to have the house to ourselves due to being a large-ish party. Sharing bathroom and common space with strangers is not something we're too fond of. We're not complaining, though, we knew what to expect. There just aren't many choices in the area.

The guesthouse is adequate. There's nothing spescial to say about it. The most important feature, is that the location was perfect for an overnight break according to our schedule.

My lucky day - Rettir was close by the next day. Overnight stay would be perfect. 2 restaurants close by for you to choose. Did not try breakfast. Room was clean.

Wifi was somewhat unstable.

Very friendly owner. We stayed in a container placed behind the house. Parking right in front of it. Comfy room and private bathroom. Relatively spacious.
