Very nice property owner. We were accommodated in an apartment with two spacious rooms, one kitchen and living room, one bathroom. Well equipped. Clean.

The house was clean and well decorated. The host was very helpful providing a lot of information we need, such as restirants, gas stations and activities that were popular in the local. The beds were comfortable. The house's located on the hill wherr you can see the whole town. Nice location.

It would be perfect if the bathroom size can be a little bit bigger.

We had a wonderful time here. Gudrun is such a warm and friendly person. We were surprised with delicious waffle batter and jam. The apartment is very well equipped, absolutely nothing is missing, and everything was very clean. We felt very comfortable and would come back again. We wish Gudrun all the best.

Our holiday was incredibly enjoyable, especially thanks to our stay in this lovely and quaint house (the bed were so soft and comfortable), and the breakfast that was offered by our host was delicious (like, hello? Waffles? Amazing!) The host was very kind and hospitable and, if we’ll ever go back to Vik, we’ll definitely know where to stay!

    Nothing, everything was perfect

I usually do not give the highest rating, but this accommodation deserves it. Beautiful and clean apartment in a quiet location provided us with everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, nice bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. But the best of all is the amazing host Gudrum, who prepared us waffle dough, homemade jam and the best cheese with bacon, which we still can't forget. I highly recommend this apartment and thank you very much for the beautiful place to stay in Vík.

Our host was amazing. The guesthouse was a great little place that was in town and made walking to grab a bite to eat or visit the beach easy. I would recommend staying here!

Gudrun was a wonderful host. She was responsive and shared information about where to go and what to do in Vik. We loved her delicious homemade rhubarb jam and cheese that she had prepared for us and she even had an Icelandic ice cream treat for my kids. We appreciated these thoughtful and sweet gestures of hospitality. Her apartment was clean, cozy and conveniently located. It was well-stocked with cookies and crackers and the kitchen was also well-equipped as we cooked all our own meals while in Vik.the location was great - short walk to the black beach and church and the lava show was just on the next street. We are so glad we stayed at her guesthouse.

It would be nice to have laundry facilities. But otherwise, it was great.

What a lovely town to stay in, the host was very welcoming. And the home made waffle, cheese spread and yam were a lovely surprise! She also gave some good tips to spot some local wildlife along the coast. If you are coming to Iceland, I would definitely recommend staying here.

    Nothing ^^

Everything about staying here was perfect - Gudrun is the most delightful host with some wonderful and generous touches to our stay ( the home made jam and cheese were delicious ! ) We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and even though we stayed 3 nights we could stay longer ! It’s the perfect base to explore Vik and the surrounding beauty . The beds were comfortable and it’s perfect for couples travelling together or a family !

Very clean and well stocked cottage. Gudrun and Emil are great hosts! They even let us in much earlier than scheduled checkin time. Traveling with toddler, we very much appreciated that. Cottage has everything we needed for our stay. Comfortable linens and pillows. Warm cozy stay.

Walls were thin. We Could hear people talking from the next door apartment.

Kitchen was well stocked and the hostess, Gudrun, supplied cookies and homemade waffle batter for our group as well. Place was clean with an excellent location. Gudrun was very friendly and happy to give lots of recommendations for things to do and places to eat.

We had a group of 4 in our own 2 bedroom unit that was part of the guesthouse. However, there is at least one other unit with other guests that shared a wall. We were able to hear them at times (specifically we could occasionally hear a baby through the wall earlier in the evenings). This never kept us awake and didn't take away form the experience so not an issue for our group at all, but may be important for some to know.

This guesthouse was our favorite place to stay during our almost 2 week trip through Iceland. The guesthouse was clean and fresh, very bright with interesting art pieces everywhere you looked. The kitchen was exceptionally well-equipped, the beds were very comfortable and spacious, nice sized bedrooms with clothing storage options and a location that can't be beat. At night, we thoroughly enjoyed sitting in the comfy living room going over the day's events and looking at the photos streamed to the TV. The best part, though, was our hostess. She was so lovely and helpful plus gave us great recommendations for restaurants, shopping and bird watching. She also had made sure that the kitchen was stocked with cookies, crackers, coffee and tea PLUS she gave us waffle batter, homemade jam and homemade cheese. This was hands down one of the best experiences we had during our trip. Thank you!

    Nothing!

The place was extremely charming and well equipped with a full kitchen. Our host provided homemade jam, cream cheese, and waffle mix (we wish we had more time to enjoy them all! Beds were comfy and space was roomy. I liked that we had to take off our shoes before going into the apt— it felt more clean. Appreciated parking right in front of the apt.

Not a complaint but a suggestion to offer sofa vs chairs so we could lounge more. Also, the toilet is close to the sink. We didn’t have an issue but someone with limitations or larger than us might find it tight or difficult to move around in.
