The views were astonishing, there were horses outside our window when we woke up. The kitchen is nice and big and the common area is great. The bathroom is also nice.

A little away from the main road

The staff was friendly upon arrival. She explained me where I find the bathrooms, showed me the kitchen and the hot tub. I liked the cat, it's a cute cat.

The water in the shower wasn't hot enough. The floor in the common areas weren't clean, judging by the bottom of my socks and I've walked only twice between my room and the entrance without slippers... no hanger in the room at all. And about the instruments: why is it not mentioned anywhere that there is a set of drums, and organ/piano is in the house?? When other guests arrived they started "playing" on them for god knows how long, it felt an eternity, and ofcourse they werent musicians, so...imagine! Or better not! If it would be stated anywhere that these instruments are in the house, I would not book this accomodation. It is annoying to say the least. There is no soundproofing, there is no door between the hallway of the rooms and the tables, so if you want to rest after a long exhausting day, bring earplugs or don't stay here. It is a staff house rather than a guesthouse. And why there is chlorine in the hot tub in Iceland?

The staff were really friendly and very accommodating. The Guesthouse is situated in a fairly remote spot that has a nice hike (that we didn't do, but trust). It's also quite fun swapping trip stories with the other guests if you're into that. The communal space is big and there's pretty much room to do anything you want, short of acrobatics. The guesthouse is clean, views are lovely.

Meme answer: No baking tray not for baking cakes (maybe you could bake your pizza on top of the cupcake tray?) P.S. we didn't actually ask the host if they had one.

Horses, quiet location, friendly staff

It's a quiet and peaceful house, it has tools to cook and the basic facilities.

The place is spacious, cozy and had everything we needed (and more)!

The house is just in the perfect spot to watch the Northen Lights, room was comfortable and the kitchen big enough to let us feel comfortable cooking with others guests. There's a super cute cat and an amazing view right out of the door.

It was convenient along the ring road. The room was large enough for our family of 4 adults. It had a nice kitchen & bathrooms.

Ladder to the loft area were quite steep.

The house is well decorated with a big common kitchen and living-room. Also a jacuzzi that any guest can use. The view is stunning. Both on the front and back of the house. What made it special for us is that it is a pet friendly place. There is a cat in the house. And most important to us, we could stay with our dogs 😊

Unfortunately a few people were playing some weird rattling arcade game until 11pm! The cut off time of the hostel was 11pm, they weren't breaking any house rules but there must be some ways to shut the door or avoid this from disturbing the sleep of people who walked/hiked all day for a good night's sleep. The facility had no coffee - not even for a price. We were a good 30-35 min drive away from a coffee shop!

it was an interesting experience in a weird way. we did not feel safe during our one-night stay at the house.

Upon check-in, I was 'informed' that I could not use the shared kitchen. LOL. There was no apology at all. I felt like an uninvited guest. The next day, all the food I bought for almost 50 euros was thrown away at the airport. well, Cheap thing is expensive.

The kitchen is huge and very well equiped. Same for the living room. The house is very clean and the German community working there are friendly.

Has both a outside hotpot and a big two person bath inside. Great for a family.

The apartment is very nice! Our bedroom + the shared bathroom were clean. Good price-quality

The staff didnt even say hi to us when we arrived, even though they were in the kitchen and saw us with our luggage. A simple hi + basic info about the apartment would have been nice

Nice location and common areas in the house

Indecent treatment from the staff: absent, inhospitable and inappropriate. Poor furniture in the room with broken heating in the room. Only 2 bathrooms for a lot of rooms.

Spacious and nice common areas. Sadly, the staff was very unfriendly and unwelcoming so we couldn't enjoy any of it. They literally said we are on their way and rushed us to leave. Very poor experience.

There was a tall girl with glasses (assumably polish) who was cooking in the kitchen in the morning. She kept giving everyone from our group weird looks every time we needed to use something in the kitchen. We could barely manage to get a glass of water because of her. She was talking loudly with some other people in Polish and kept laughing. She even made a few comments to us, which hinted, "Why are you still here?" We didn't know either if she worked there or she was just another grimpy guest, so we went ahead and asked. Then she replied, "YES, I WORK HERE!" , "did you request a late checkout because it's already past 10 am, and we need to clean the house for other guests? "... None of us knew what her problem was, considering the fact that the place was empty, and there were no other guests in the entire guest house, and especially that we had already left the room and we were just having coffee in the comon areas. We told her that, and she replied, "Okay, but you can stay maybe 10/15 more minutes max." We were all literally disgusted by her behavior, and she is the only reason we are leaving a negative review. Everything was nice and clean, but as I already mentioned, sadly, we couldn't enjoy any of the nice facilities because of her. Very poor management.
