We spent three nights at the guesthouse on this family-run farm and felt very comfortable. Our room was spacious, with a comfortable bed, a very large bathroom, and a beautiful view. The breakfast was special, as was the kindness and hospitality of the host.

Breakfast (included) was a standout, fantastic.

Our room was upstairs. Shower was private, but not en suite. It was downstairs, but comfy robe provided to get there🙂

This guesthouse was hidden gem of our vacations in Iceland. If by any occasion you pass by Grásteinn Guesthouse, take a breakfast with them and try to stole the recipe for that “out-of-this-world” dark bread, …it worths more than gold. Besides all extremely good, cozy and comfort with the room and sleeping conditions, this stay won the prize of “the best breakfast in Iceland” for this vacations.

I loved the warm and welcoming hosts, the breathtaking views, and the property's charm. It felt like a truly unique Icelandic experience, peaceful, authentic, and full of character.

The only downside was the lack of screens on the windows and doors, which is common in Iceland. We wanted to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful breeze, but we hesitated to open the windows for fear of letting flies in. But this is a minor nit.

very delicious breakfast with many homemade products. our 4-persons apartment was equipped with 2 bathrooms! the hosts are really friendly and welcoming. the hike at Raudanes point is a must for everybody. Thousands and thousands of puffins and other birds are there.

the cozy kitchen is really basic - but you have an option to use big kitchen in house.

Lovely remote spot in rural Iceland, access to a kitchen for cooking. The staff were very friendly and informative.

They were the best hosts we have had on our trip of Iceland so far. So concerned and accommodating when a blizzard delayed our arrival. We had great conversations with them in the morning and the breakfast with her homemade bread was perfect!

Absolutely nothing could have made it better!

Outstanding location! The studio we booked was the coziest place we've seen in Iceland. The owners have incredible taste. Also, freshly baked Icelandian bread is served for breakfast! I don't believe you can find something better. If you like dogs, there are 3 :)

Friendly owners , provided a lot of info regarding the weather and the roads covered in snow. Decent breakfast . Free parking.

Very isolated location, the room did not have a private bathroom as it was stated only sink and toilet in the room , to get a shower you have to walk through the dining area . Old , outdated furniture in the room. Not a value for money.

Everything was perfect. It was our best catch from our Iceland trip so far and Hildur made a big breakfast with fresh baked bread for us. It's an amazing place and we'll definitely come back one day!

Check-in is done in person, you just have to call and let it know you arrived. A beautiful apartment awaits us, divided into a large single room with a small kitchen and a bathroom on the ground floor and a separate large bedroom with its own toilet on the first floor. The upper room has three individual sleeping cabins with individual curtains - very romantic and intimate. The mini kitchen is of course much too small for our family of five, so the landlady offered us the use of her professional kitchen to prepare dinner at reception. We would especially like to thank the landlady for the lovely birthday present for our daughter!

    Nothing to report.
