The cottage is quite spacious and conveniently located. The room and facilities are exceptionally clean. The owner is very responsive and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this place to others.

The host is really kind waiting for us for the late check in. The hotel is not far from the vik and room is clean. We are late for breakfast but the host kept the breakfast for us and we really enjoyed it. If we come back to vik and we will definitely stay here again.

In the part of home where we slept, there is only one toilet with shower for 2 rooms (7 people) so it is a little disadvantage.

Very, very nice and friendly owners. No problem with late check-in. Room was clean and nice. Well equipped kitchen. Price was quite high, but I guess it is about the region, cause it is standard there.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was a little further from Vik than I thought, but I could have researched that better myself.

20 min from Vik so had to backtrack as we booked 2 nights. Also very small guest house so unfortunately could hear very noisy guests at 11pm— no effort by staff present to ask them to be quiet Breakfast was basic— expected mor for the price paid.

It's an older home, so the stairs going up to the bedrooms are steep and narrow. If you have mobility issues, this could be an issue. Took my time carrying my luggage down to be safe.

Not a complaint - but the quad room is very tight for four adults (2 parents, 2 adult children). Would be better for family with small kids.

Room was small for four of us, but we anticipated that. It was nice we each had our own bed. Bathroom was shared. It was a wonderful value and overall quite comfortable.

Safe and serene farmhouse. Gorgeous location outside of Vik. Quiet and bright, with wonderful views of the Northern Lights. Very clean accommodations. There was a shared kitchen with coffee and cooking supplies. Kind and responsive host. We didn't try the breakfast buffet there, but it sounded wonderful.

I was a little skeptical due to shared bathroom, but booked anyway because of good review. And the reviews did not lie. My sister and I were driving back pretty late and it was out of check in time, I texted the owner and he answered quickly helping out with our late check in. He also posted a direction note at the front door for us to find our room, and helped us with our carryon upstairs. Our room was clean and pretty spacious. And it had a sink, which we really appreciated being girls with makeup and skincare routine. The shared bathroom was also very clean. The house was not exactly in Vik town but about 15 min drive, it would be a good location for northern light hunting, being quite remote and dark. Breakfast was not exactly my Asian taste but I appreciated it nonetheless, especially being in Iceland. Definitely staying again it coming back.
