Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaThis property is tired and not up to rental standards. It has had little to no maintenance. The car in the driveway without license plate and flat tires is a clue to the overall condition of this property. The range hood fan smelled like an industrial kitchen that hadn’t been cleaned. Garbage area was dirty and not well kept. Kitchen equipment was old and not clean - one frying pan without a handle…hot plate on top of the stove due to old wiring in the house. Shower was grimy, shower head was cracked and didn’t drain properly. The payment was a hassle as you are required to pay in cash or bank transfer. Property manager came by and was friendly and helpful but banks were closed on the Sunday and it was not easy.
The food in the fridge for breakfast was well stocked.

Far nicer than expected. Don't let the outside fool you. Our little group loved the stocked kitchen and enjoyed making breakfast like the place was our own. Would definately stay again.

SloveniaIf this is a dream house, I hope my dreams never come true. A neglected dump intended to rip off tourists. Very small room with no closet, questionable cleanliness, shared bathroom, and cash payment without a receipt. A room with a view of a decaying car and garbage bins. The most expensive and the worst accommodation during our trip around Iceland.

Very old container shed that is marketed as a guesthouse. Room was tiny and unclean. The fridge didn’t seem to work. There was zero ventilation in the room. The bathroom was shared with atleast four other guests, which was a shock to me as I had booked based on the description on booking.com that I’d have a private bath. There is no credit card machine to pay at the facility so you have to bring cash. Do not book this place. It is way too overpriced and in awful condition.

Doesn't look like much on the outside but nice, comfortable and spacious on the inside. Lots of food included to enjoy.
