How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I rated staff badly only because we didn't see anyone until morning. Had received instructions on how to get into the room and it went well. Would have liked to have gotten another pillow... not a big deal, I know, but we did pay $220 for about 13 hours. Our room was great.. we spent extra for a bathroom and it was great. Facility was a 10 minute ride to the airport. Overall it was great!!

Breakfast was canceled right before the trip though advertised during the booking that there was breakfast included.
Free parking. Close to the airport which is important for our early flight. Room has a microwave, plates, cups and cutlery. Bathroom is in good size. Bed and pillows are comfortable and in standard queen size not tiny like other places we stayed in Iceland.

Wish they still served the breakfast, but we appreciated the access to the shared kitchen.
Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and we slept well in the comfortable beds. We enjoyed our stay even though it was only one night as we laid over from our flight to New York.

The hotel just cancelled their breakfast completely. Since they promised the breakfast, they should keep what they had promised. If I had known this, I probably would choose another hotel.
I like the airport shuttle (drop off) in the morning. Wishing they can also pick-up from the airport as well. The staff is very helpful.

The price payed for one night in this hotel was exactly the price I payed for 6 nights 5 persons one house near a lovely beach in Corfu. It offers nothing but shelter for the night at a very very expensive price. The check in is after 4 and if you arrive at 11 and it is raining and the wind blows... well.... good luck with that.

Trip hazard with the shower pan in the bathroom. Comforter and pillow covers were uncomfortable. Noise from auto repair across the street.

Not the fault of the property, but it is an airport hotel and some people can be loud when they leave at 5am in the morning.

Was in the middle of a car repair, rental and car bus area
It was near the sea, a good restaurant and interesting museums . The kitchen eating area was well equipped and very pleasant. Excellent coffee and juice available at all times. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Rooms situated on 1st floor, because ground level is used as a hostel. This might be a disadvantage, because I haven't seen an elevator. Keflavik is not a tourist destination, so don't expect to have anything interesting within walking distance of the hotel.
Warehouse converted to hotel, but one only notice it looking from outside. Specious and clean room with private bathroom and a small kitchen. Dining area within the premises. Parking just outside of the hotel.

They changed approach how they manage hotel - breakfast was suppose to be complinaritary but hotel sent notice that is no longer actual. Also, there was a lot of confusion about payment due to not having staff onsite.
Somehow near airport, convient if you are visiting or leaving at night. Room is large with kitchen appliances, check-in was clear.

The fire alarm panel kept beeping outside our room and I couldn’t get anyone to respond to me via email/chat to address the problem

No elevator. Due to the proximity to the airport, most travellers are only going to use this as a temporary stay while they arrive or leave Iceland. Travelling with kids and a lot of suitcases makes it a pain to carry it up and down for a night.
Hassle-free check-in and check-out. Free coffee machine in the common area.
