For some reason none of us could connect to the Wi-Fi, it would continue to load without connecting. Luckily we didn’t really need it this trip, so I won’t change my rating because of it. But think it’s good to mention since the property was supposed to have internet connection. Also, wish we could’ve met the horses closer up because I grew up with horses, but didn’t hear back from the owners.

The cottage was very well equipped with thoughtful amenities and an abundance of sunshine. There is a mini convenience "shop" close (within 10 meters) to the cottages which includes breakfast items and drinks! We met the hosts after checkout and they shared some stories about their ponies and how they tended the farm. I would not hesitate to recommend Askot Cottages to anyone.

Nothing it was perfect!

The cottage so sons comfortable and had such an at home feel. The owners had so many special touches. The property is on a working farm with horses, sheep and friendly dogs that come visit sometimes.

Beautiful new cottage in the country outside of Hella and close to Selfoss. Space was nicely designed and provisioned in a very functional way. Nice large windows, very comfortable bed. A great place to stay!

Comfortable, quiet and cozy cottage with very nice hosts It's very rare for apartments to have a microwave and small cabin nearby with self-service grocery is a good idea. You're provided with a printed brochure that tells the story of Áskot Cottages, introduces you to the owners and explains how to use all the amenities - really nice. In the morning we were greeted by owners' cat, dog and puppy and it was a great company.

Personally I would have rather had a small oven than a dishwasher for 2 people but that’s more of a preference for me . Some shelving for clothes could have been useful as we were there for over a week.

The water pressure wasn't the greatest, but it worked. My son loves TV, so not being able to watch any TV was tough at night after a very long day. Not that we would of watched it anyway. lol

The location was awesome and we loved how new the property was. It was very comfy to stay there.

This was our favorite stay during our trip! Beautiful design, spacious and functional. The sauna /steam and hot tub were a much added plus. We loved the town as well.

Our stay here was absolutely perfect. You can truly feel that the owners care deeply about this place – everything was prepared with great attention to detail. The welcome catalog with all the instructions was very helpful and made everything easy. The house was spotless, very comfortable, and had an amazing, calming view that we’ll never forget. The entire place felt authentic and full of charm. We didn’t get the chance to meet the owner’s animals (horses and cats), but of course we completely understand – they’re living beings and can’t be expected to greet every guest! This was a 10/10 experience, and we’ll definitely return next time we visit Iceland. Highly recommended!
