We were surprised by the amazing location of this hotel. We regret that our stay was only one evening as the location was beautiful and quiet. The rooms were nicely appointed and comfortable. The loft in the rooms in the newer wing are a little shy on headroom. but once you are seated in one of the comfy chairs it is a great place to relax. The provided breakfast offered many expected Icelandic options. Our dinner was very tasty and service was excellent.

I would suggest that the sign to the turn in more visible.

The property seems out of the way and in the dark may be difficult to find. However, it’s very cozy and the units are nice. The breakfast was good, hot oatmeal, cold cuts and hard-boiled eggs, toast and jams, fresh fruit, juices, and hot coffee and tea. Dinner wasn’t available when we were there. Lots of cozy areas in the main building to sit and talk. Beer and wine at the reception desk.

The room got a bit warm with only one window to open but it was still a nice stay.

Property is in a beautiful location and they staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and tidy but can get a bit warm without circulation. It was still a lovely stay and would have loved to stay again.

Somewhat off the beaten path hotel in a country setting, which is ok, but no restaurants near by. However, great sightseeing and a nice quiet setting.

A basic hotel that met our needs for a place to stay for a night while exploring this area of Iceland. Clean and comfortable, with a great breakfast offering. Some great waterfalls within a short driving distance from the hotel.

If your neighboors are loud, you will hear them. But we were lucky :-) The breakfast could offer more choices.

The cottage is really nice with the two floors and the kids'beds upstairs. The cottage looks quite new and it was warm enough inside. The breakfast was okay.

Beautiful surroundings, easy to reach the waterfalls Hraunfossar and Barnafoss and Husafell, where "Into the glacier" is starting. The Hotelrooms are big, were clean and the stuff very friendly. We could highly recommend it.

Our room has a sloped ceiling behind the beds and my daughter and I both hit our heads once (but not her two taller brothers!). If the ceiling was painted a color or perhaps wallpapered, that may help guests remember to watch their heads!

While not a "4-star" hotel, this quaint, rustic, clean, comfortable hotel with an amazing view was perfect for our needs: cozy, slept 4 with a private bath, nice almost charcuterie style breakfast with cereal and oatmeal options, great coffee, close to our Into the Glacier with snowmobiling excursion, and WONDERFUL staff! They even offered a laundry service (when I asked about a washer and dryer) while we were on the glacier at no more expense than any basic US hotel would charge! Absolutely recommend!

The bathroom door in our unit would not close completely, appears bottom edge if door hits doorframe jamb. Once fixed, would increase overall rating.

The location in the countryside with a welcoming dog. The breakfast, really authentic, with a little hand-made knitting shop. The rooms hearty and comfortable. The people working there.

Only one pillow and found the duvet cover very 'lumpy' due to the design.

No fridge in the room. The hosts need to communicate better - we got no communication on the booking platform and at least something was required, to recommend to avoid dirt road no 523 and take the 518 one with small detour. Chinese guests should behave better - speaking loudly , stepping strongly, 3 times refill at breakfast , taking food away (not properly fault).

The check in was easy. Clean big room with a relax area on a higher level above the sleeping area. Things were in good state. Kettle, coffee and tea in the room. Private bathroom and no issues with hot water. Breakfast served early enough. Breakfast was very rich in options. Conditions were fine, price with breakfast in the range of Iceland prices (over-priced for conditions).
