Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesNarrow street was hard to navigate for our bus so knowing that in advance may have helped. But it was a minor issue. The locals are very used to this and were super helpful. This is not a dislike, but if you book through Booking.com and don't prepay you would do well to have local currency to pay the bill. Or try to use Google Pay (not available to US travelers using iPhones). I used Remitly, which is fabulous.
Our host Mathew and his son Allen were on site when we arrived. They helped with the checkin, accommodated our extra guest/bed request, were super nice, and even helped us order dinner as Zomato can be difficult to set up for international credit cards. We had a very short but lovely stay on new year's eve. Home is a little far (by local standards) from all the shopping area but Uber and auto-rickshaws are eminently available.

United StatesI booked a stay for myself and my bachelor friends. Upon arrival, the staff initially refused us accommodation because we were bachelors, which I know is an illegal rule. After some discussion, they agreed to let us stay. Having just arrived after a 24-hour flight, it was very inconvenient when someone came to my room at 3:30 AM. I understand it was due to government regulations, but it was still awkward, especially with the staff member wearing an N95 mask, which made us feel like we were being treated as if we were diseased.
It was in a prime location, making it ideal for families with easy access to the city.

SingaporeOwner wasn’t very honest when we requested for his help to order dinner and we will pay him. Claimed they don’t use such apps. His son was very helpful. Thankful for that. Bedsheets were very rough. Process of checking in is way too tedious and long. Especially after a very long journey.
